Thanks Thimios, my speakers permit bi-amplification, 2 channels for subwoofers and 2 channels for panels.

Wasn't this rather an ELRAD publication than ELEKTOR's? Most probably it was designed by Gerhard Haas who runs EXPERIENCE electronics
Best regards!

You are right but this was also published in Elektor.Wasn't this rather an ELRAD publication than ELEKTOR's? Most probably it was designed by Gerhard Haas who runs EXPERIENCE electronics

Yes, we will come back to this soon. I'm doing some tuning and tests on our new RIAA preamp (hybrid IC + tube). This development will allow doing the one you're looking for the right way.
Valery,
You and Jeff can count on me doing a build and review of said tube preamp (when that day comes).
Cheers,
Greg
Some time ago, I had a proposition from a friend of mine who has the ADI 2 DAC, to have a listening test with ADI as DAC/pre and NS amp. I wasn't that curious 'cause the other DACs I have (some lend for testing reasons) are simply better. Maybe I could give it a shot to give you some feedback
There are many factors to consider when the sound it is "little" away from your liking. Here are some
Cables
You might stubble upon an audiophile ones that has some upper rage sparkle that is somewhat annoying sometimes, like it happened to me. I've decided to go to monoblock scheme where cables don't matter
Input cap
Also, changing the input cap made huge difference (as is should). The original from Panasonic is the best value cap I've tried but I didn't had in hand this time so time and used Wima MKP. Now I've put a Rike PIO which gave the instruments more weight, less bright than Wimas.
Source
Finally I'm experimenting with the computer as a source with a Tinkerboard (Rasp-like SBC) and an Audio PC. There is a clear difference between them also when changing their power supply. Don't have to do A/B comparison at all to spot the differences.
To my particular setup, having difficult speakers (maggies) I had to double the whole capacitance of my psu,(now 60mF per channel) to bring a fuller sound to my system. That's the way it is, even the BOM indicated a bigger psu so it was kinda obvious.
My point: before bigger changes like another preamp, a possibility of changing other factors will be helpful to find out what's wrong.
I will report the listening test outcome with ADI 2 DAC
You want to hear Ana amazing piece of software, try Euphony Symphony. Absolutely incredible Linux OS for audio.

Sadly it's not free, but anyway thanks for suggestion, I'll certainly try it out.
I sold my adi2 last week, it was sitting in his box for too much time.
As I've mentioned to you, not my cup of tea but it mates quite good with NS or let's say NS make some of it's weaknesses not an issue.

Could you say that tube pre is the way to go with NS or it just has it's strong points ?
Hi all after long very long time of diyaudio desert....in favor of staying home due coronavirus.....time was to use solder iron.....
Tubsumo Porn in combo with NS-OPS. All are onw adaptation from Valery's work in same shape (76*100mm) as Slewmaster IPS.
On IPS-OPS combo their is 2 NS-OPS version : one with 3 pairs MJL/NJW and one with 2 pairs in the background.

I hope so...
You will need some type of delay on your speaker protection. The 21st century protection that Valery designed is perfect. The Tunsumo has a huge offset at initial start up.

Yes i have a delay/dc speaker protection board that i will tweak (condo value) to have 30s delay because of tubsumo...

Super-clean build 🙂 I like the compact boards

I like this small boards too, because the original NS board was a little big🙂.Super-clean build 🙂 I like the compact boards![]()

I have the original board too but when i decided to do my own routing Tubsumo IPS didn't exist in Modular shape. Additional in 76*100 shape it can be use with other OPS board as slewmater, VHex, Sauberkeit. I have the two latest in same 76*100 shape (2 pictures below)
