Whats in the masala and how is it made?

as it made from chili flakes, paprika, vinegar, beer, sugar and salt.
50/50 vinegar and beer, just drops of each
Paprika is the sponge to regulate the viscosity
Chili flakes for heat
Seasoned salt for flavour
Raw sugar to take the edge off, not too much, this is supposed to be tangy so sugar is not necessary for some.
Mix all ingredients, allow enough time for it to thicken a little and become a paste.

That's just one idea, there are many good ones, including those we North American's call 'currie flavour' ie: Cumin, coriander, chili, turmeric etc.

You can even do a quick and dirty by mixing BBQ sauce with Louisiana sauce, chili flakes and paprika. It's really up to you.

I can hardly believe what this thread has become. You clowns should be ashamed of yourselves, especially the two "moderators" who are contributing to this mess. You all might think you're clever or funny, but it's really just pathetic.

Isn't there an adult present who can prevent the children from wrecking the place?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

40 pages of this thread since Thanksgiving 2015, one third of the thread. At this rate it will be the GOAT thread.

Maybe I can help.
I'm repairing a unit and am trying to get some Pyrofilm precision resistors. As far as I can see (or Google, really) the company doesn't exist anymore. Some NOS on eBay but not what I need.

Does anyone know of a replacement brand that has as least as good specs?
Tol 0.1%, TC < 15 ppm, VC < 1 ppm/V

Think about it,

Your looking at a thread about the sound quality of resistors. In engineering if you can't have a laugh its time to pack up. I Understand what you are saying but..

It doesn't mean people aren't serious about audio..
Think of it as a time out laugh..😀

NB I select parts..so what does that tell you..
The moderators do a sterling job on this site, try some others you will have a shock. Cough in the wrong place and your out of it!

The children have been wrecking the place since day one, so why the surprise?

It's the adults, who are here just to take care of the children, who have to talk about *something* while they wait for the kiddie show to end 😛

Check out Vishay PTF series. They are physically large for their power rating, but very good specs.

Edit: That was in response to Jan Didden's question.

Thanks, these look very good. I wonder what they cost...

I'm not sure about the dissipation though; they spec LT 0.5W but that's at 85C. With a thermal R of 50K/W, that's an extra W at 25C, correct?

Edit: affordable. Excellent tip, thanks nosy!
