Resistor Sound Quality?

FWIW I tried KFC *once* .
Or less, because halfway during the first piece I had to spit what I was still chewing and found impossible to swallow.
My lips, fingers, but even worse the insides of my mouth were covered with *grease*.
Ugh !!!!

Ofn course, those used to grease will find it great, so to each his own.

Mind you, I *do* eat chicken, but I pull all skin, operate it for extra 5 minutes with a scalpel sharp knife (no kidding) , then "massage" it with spice-of-the-day , whatever I fancy, brush it with olive oil and then broil it.

Well done, yet juicy, I'm careful to seal it well.
Sounds like a recipe I just saw for Allen Bradley resistors I'm trying to forget.

I ate a large quantity of KFC grease and Bourbon and then my ears started ringing later and lets just say I think I need to stay away from the special sauce.

Jacco, you're not helping!

My sincere apologies, genetic degeneracy has a few minor downsides, Blue M.
I need to watch some Blue. M. Someone popped in a VHS of it recently at a gathering (kind of off the grid type host); need to get the blu-ray which is rated 5.0/5 on bluray.com which is amazingly high, especially for such an old film (Yellow Submarine.) The Blue Meanie is a buffoonish, music-hating creature (resistor expert:flame:) which somehow fits in nicely with this thread. (No intent on my part with the avatar, just popped into the head so I got it.)

Resistor Recipe for the holidays:
"Allen Bradley RESISTORS special treatment method
As stated Allen Bradley resistors are carbon composite, being made of an organic material they do have the tendency to absorb water from the atmosphere. This absorption can increase the actual resistance of the component, hence the slightly higher than normal tolerance published on this page. To fix this simply remove the water from the component and seal it. The best method is to place the resistor/s on a baking tray set, your oven to 80 degrees centigrade and leave in the oven for 8 hours. The secret is to remove the mositure slowly if you rush it it will become noisy in circuit. Once cooked seal the body of the component in Shellack (preferably the flakes) to stock any further water absorption. At the end of this procedure you will have a much lower noise, more closely tolerance resistors. Special thanks to Colin Cornish for this excellent tip."

A local Russian monophile friend was trying to get our mutual Russian engineer friend to boil some old capacitors over the stove to restore an amp. Just cracks me up thinking about it. Food and resistors totally on topic since you can do the above while cooking dinner.

Well since a 10 year old thread will never bring the members to agree and since we've wandered into the chicken realm, I will add:

Strangely you couldnt recognize some of the pieces from a normal bird either.
The only thing they do non-traditionally here is to cut the breast into what appears to be 4 pieces rather than 2 if you order a 'breast' elsewhere.
Speaking of chicken, I had the 'best breast ever' last night. When I get home, I'll try and remember to posts pics. You guys will have to tell your wives/gf's or try it this way if you're the cook. Can't say I've had better. Never liked breast as a kid, dry and flavourless, no thanks.

I want to know,

Do KFC genetically engineer their chickens to make it give the right cut for the popcorn pieces :whacko::yuck: the chicken is sort of OK if you must but,,how do you get a case of potato to hold so much fat..I think they are called chips..

Spent a plane ride with a fellow who did work on producing chickens to spec up in Canada. (May explain bits about Cal. 🙂 )

Want bigger wings, no problem, more white meat etc.

What gave KFC and others a boost was changing the diet of chickens. They added ground up fish meal. Allows some chickens to be ready for eating in 6 weeks. Please note all chickens raised are female. Males don't grow as fast so they get discarded as soon as identified.

Now turkeys are usually Toms.

We could discuss the use of growth hormones on our food chain and the results...

But none of that relates to resistors.

Are resistors genetically engineered?

Or are they common types relabelled?...What is an audio resistor?

Even better question would you use an audio resistor in standard electronics..now that is interesting because I would not use audio parts in standard electronics..

Do I regard audio grade as better..no.. but I do use them..They serve a purpose. Tell me any high grade non audio device that uses audio grade components?
Sounds nuts..doesn't it..😀

So here is the interesting bit..Non audio parts good to spec..audio parts good to spec but they have an audio special characteristic..hummm?
But I still use them...Why....

right cut for the popcorn pieces
Studies have shown the nuggets aren't actually chicken meat, they're...uh...nuggets.

OK, so if we're still having Chicken fun, I'll show you my breasts.

Make a masala, carefully peel back the skin, coat the meat and cover with the skin, leave for an hour then roast at 325F but use less time than those so-called cookbooks tell you. This 1 kg breast took 45 minutes. You don't have to eat the skin or the masala as it made from chili flakes, paprika, vinegar, beer, sugar and salt.

Wait, am I in the right thread?

Whats in the masala and how is it made? Because that's the secret to it all isn't it..😀

NB..looks great..

everybody knows having "chickens" in the name was too much commitment by some standards so they said what the heck we'll call it KFC

Yes but in the pop quiz which wins KFC or the big "M" ..?
(Does any of it contain..meat?) OK the salad is probably good for you..😀 But the fizzy drink is a corn starch surprise.
