Sören, would this be a problem?

No audio word lenght doesn't really mater, the dam1021 R-2R DAC use only the msb 24 bits anyway, and it use just the bit clock to measure incoming bitrate....
and the pics
Where are you measuring, at the Amanero source or at the dam1021 DAC ?
And what about those 1V P-P ??
You can also try to measure on the internal side of the isolators:
DAT - U36 pin 6 (closest to J10)
LRCK - U36 pin 7
BCLK U34 pin 6 (furthest away from J10)
DAT - U36 pin 6 (closest to J10)

****!
I got a header connector that did not fill the board connector so it came offset by 1 pin. Now I have steady green!
Clumsy.

heh. It's amazing how often it's something like that. We're all hanging around for those very early sound impressions 🙂

Murphy strikes again 🙂 That explain the 1V signals, when the isolators don't have power the internal protection diodes load down the signals....
It shall sound :-D
But steady green, but not turning red. And no output.
But 3,4V p-p on signals.

Oh come on! Just image nobody is watching you 🙂
So now it's playing. But I'm so tired and its so late so no serious listening can be done.
But at least some impressions:
- No hard edges whatsoever.
- Still dont seem to lack resolution
- Things going on low down.
- It seem different - thats good!
It seem to have merits. Looking fwd to work and learn the product.
Loud blip/plop when cahnging song - not good.
Thanks Sören well done! And thanks for the help.

I2S Input just need the BCLK, LRCK and DAT signals, plus power to the ISO +3.3V to power the isolator chips.
The onboard isolators just also need power and gnd connected, you can take that from the regular nonisolated GND and +3.3V.
I'm a little confused. Does the I2S input need +3.3V AND gnd to power the onboard isolators as stated in post#921? Or no gnd?

Everything need a GND reference, a voltage is always referenced between two lines....
Just ordered mine, I am very curious 🙂
I would like to play it from the I2S output of a Raspberry Pi, but still have to study the exact way to connect both... therefore I am all ears for any indication, tips, or ready to go schematics 🙂
Cheers!

Really load pops when changing tracks. Why is this Sören?
Tried to get it playing from my SB Touch using the3rd party applet for advanced output. No luck so far.

Pop happen when blinking green led stop blinking (synced?). This is not always - I have experienced smooth start of songs also.

Is the sample rate of the songs different in case that a pop occurs?Pop happen when blinking green led stop blinking (synced?). This is not always - I have experienced smooth start of songs also.

Hi! Nice product you've got going here. I've got four boards arriving early next week. May I ask what's the reason for the narrow AC power requirement of 7-8V? Most transformers are either 6V og 9V, which is kind of inconvenient.
And also, you said that you didn't recommend running NOS due to the dirty measurements. Have you tried it without oversampling at 384kHz?
