Well, I am running a pair of active speakers since my Quad went crazy. I found an Audio Pro A-100 with A2-2 speakers.
I will combine that set with my Audio Pro subwoofer, a B2-40. When the Quad are back in business, the Audio Pro gear will be used elsewherwe in my house.

If you can extract the PCBs (with the integrated alu profile of course), postage may be not too bad. I'd be happy to fix them for you. However there is a chance the problem is in the power supply or other parts of the non-PCB circuitry. PM me for more info, as I don't want to hijack this thread too much! 😉
