On a side note, i was trying to install Pulsecrossover on my RK3288 based SBC. I have Armbian distro on it. When I tried to install directly "sudo apt-get install pulseaudio-crossover-rack" i get the following error
rock64@rock64:~/PaXoverRack$ sudo apt-get install pulseaudio-crossover-rack
Reading package lists... Done

Did you remeber to add my debian repo first? Don't think so 😉
@Tfive u are correct I did miss it. Installed the Debian repo and everything worked fine post that. I was able to install it. Couldn't get to test it fully but less worried about it now
On a side note, any suggestions to enable airplay kind of functionality -my desired state is that I can play through Spotify from my phone and airplay it to the SBC which can then use the pulse crossover to do the crossover / dsp duties. Thanks so much for all your help

I used to use kodi on the receiving side and airaudio on a rooted android phone once. since i have a music player with remote control on the player now I don't need it anymore. airaudio seems to have been renamed to airmusic in the play store.

System version question
@Tfive I have sent PM but perhaps it will be easier for you to answer here - which version of mint do you use (18.xx or 19 or 20) and which interface do you use (Cinnamon, MATE, Xface)? Which language of the system do you use? Deutsch or EN?

Just answered via pm but it might be of general interest. I use Linux mint MATE 20. language is set to German but that should not matter at all.
I repeat: Linux mint 20 and any distribution based on Ubuntu 20.x needs a fix for pulseaudio which can be found here: Jurgen Herrmann / pulseaudio_13.99_sink_fixes * GitLab

Thank you!! The reason I asked this question is that I tried to run crossover this morning on fresh install of Ubuntu 20 and I wasn't able to get it autorunning after reboot the system. I can't check the fix now but - does solve this problem?
OK 🙂 Let me ask other way round - if I install Linux Mint 18.3 "Sylvia" with MATE - can I count it will work properly without any playing around with any fixes ? PS. since it's going to be dedicated mediacenter with Kodi (which got own full-screen system overlaying interface) it's totally insignificant for me which system will I install - just to make sure it will easy and effective running
Thank you! MATE, Cinnamon, Xfce? As I said I would like to mimic your environment best possible to avoid any troubles - as you rightly pointed - it's open source 🙂 🙂

Sweet! I've been waiting months for this. About to try it.
Thanks!

Hey Tfive. I just installed Mate 20.10, applied updates, installed PaXOverRack, then applied the pulseaudio_13.99_sink_fixes. I built my 3way Crossover plus Parametric EQ however PaXOverRack still freezes when I insert. Same issue as before with any 20.x Ubuntu release.
Tested using an AtomicPi SBC with 7.1 HDMI extractor. This setup worked great, pre Ubuntu 20
I did an install of Ubuntu 20.10 on virtualbox the day before yesterday. Applied the sink fixes and it runs fine. Maybe you could share your .paxor file here and I will test with that... If the issue persists you will have to reopen the issue and provide tracebacks to help the pa guys debug this.
I just reconnected the HDD to boot up and grab the paxor file to send to you. I clicked insert and it confirmed this time. Seems like it just needed a reboot?
I'll make an backup image of my HDD since it seems to be working and fiddle around some more and report back.
Thanks!

The reboot also restarted the (broken) pulseaudio daemon which was still running. I'll update the documentation that the pa daemon has to be restarted after installing the packages.
Making changes to a linux machine usually requires a reboot to take full effect.
Actually quite the opposite is true. If you know what you're doing there's only two reasons to reboot a linux machine: a) kernel upgrade b) installation of new hardware.
No luck
The issue definitely remains.
I've tried with a fresh MATE 20.10 installation on two different PC's now, Pulseaudio locks up when I try to apply the crossover on both devices. I'm using an 8-output HDMI extractor for what it's worth.
I've attached the paxor file that I'm trying to implement. (I had to change the extension from .paxor to .txt in order for the server to see it as a valid file)
Thanks
