halogen is too impractical makes soo much heat and ur gona need a lamp i believe i may be wrong though.
the lumens are far too low to be usefull on that sucker there...m,y 12000lumen 500 watt halogen is just barely cutting it for testing purposes.
lol 500watt halogen must be sooooooooooooo hot, have u had any fire problems? how are you cooling that thing?
Yes, very hot, I think it puts out about 2000watts of heat, as the halogen isn't too efficeient. I have a window fan blowing straight down into the box with no cover on the top 😀 Like I said this is testing right now.
well first all u need is your video but anyways u need a stereo 3.5mm to rca convertor or u can make ur own by using rca cables and a pair of head phones which can be destroyed.
also how did u get ur cf cable for the lcd to bend so much?

I have the verge 5" lcd which is the exact same as the ps1 screen, even the control board is identical.
I have attached a picture of how i added a "monster" cable to use for my video input.
I soldered it directly to the board and the picture is much clearer then going through the 3.5mm jack.

thaks for the help guys
thaks for the help guys
for the audio you use the smaller white and red wires which are the signal or + wires, use the black again as the ground.
the sound sucks on it though! I would recommmend a seperate amp for audio.
It's up to you though,
Gordon

oops ya white and blue
I mean a seperate amplifier to handle the audio period. The built in amp in these little 5" screens sounds horrible.

ok im new at this and dont know how to do amps so ill prob just stick to the one off the plug.
if i decide to just wire the second plug on the right to video like in that pic i posted to a rca male do you know what wires to use theres 6 on each plug not sure what one is video to the rca male and what i do with the other wires. only need 2 blue 2white for left / right audio and 1 for video right?

i think so.
your board is a little different then mine is.
Just trace the wires back to find out where they go

thanks again
and does the video have ground?
thanks again
my board is a bit different as it doesn't use the small plugs, the power is soldered directly to the board.
The video shares the negative ground on mine.

What are you going to do with that huge halogen lamp in the first picture.
That lamp will not work
You need a "point" light source like a flood bulb or a par 30 bulb.
That halogen will cook your lcd in no time
just my opinion though
