IMPORTANT

My PayPal account access is now limited. I will need to provide PayPal with details regarding to the funds I have gathered from you guys.
The account may take 3-5 working days to come back to normal.
I ask that in this period no more payments to be made, until I give the all clear.
I will resolve this as soon as possible, I have already discussed the actions needed with PayPal and there should not be any problems. I thank you for your patience.

Regards
John

I'm really liking the Marquart rocker switch together with the Furutech FI-10 option (unless Nikon can great us a great price on the FI-09). It would be a nice high quality solution to go with this amp.

Two alternative to switches :

Digi-Key - 360-1887-ND (Manufacturer - S1F)

(Same mounting holes as the baseline APEM, but with metal toggle lever.)

And for rocker switch I use the Marquart myself (1555.3104).

Too many options ....

Is there any sensible reason to think Rhodium is better than Gold for a mains connection? I'm a scientist (not in electronics, but in molecular biology) and I'm simply curious to know if there is any (scientific) reason to think that there is any (measurable) benefit.
Don't take me wrong! I like the Furutech solution and if there is an EU distributor that does not make the price grow by a factor of 2-3 I'm in!
Is there?
Cheers,
Nic

So, FI-10 Gold costs 1400yen and FI-10 Rodhium 1800 yen (could be excluded taxes) If we go for that I could buy 25 of them, ship them to Mark and they can be included in the case shipments.
I will be away from Tokyo until the end of July, but they deliver the next day, so, if we go this way, they could be shipped first week of August.

Best Regards,

Davide

Does anyone prefer the DLX NeutriK XLR's?
They are far more robust than the S and SS series.
They don't use those self tapping screws either, with the DLX a hex M3 could be used, the shield contact is metalised as opposed to plastic. I've had both and can vouch for the smooth action of the DLX...

Only drawback, cost (not much more).
And the fact that they would have to be mounted on the outside for space.

They are designed for outside mount and do look attractive, either way.

An amp like this deserves it...
