They are indeed very nice - especially the NC3MD-LX-HE - would be a perfect esthetic match with the case....
Maybe the weakening of the bracket caused by the slightly wider hole would in part be compensated by the bolts holding the socket.
EUVL's correct objections were mainly against inside mounting.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
So, FI-10 Gold costs 1400yen and FI-10 Rodhium 1800 yen (could be excluded taxes) If we go for that I could buy 25 of them, ship them to Mark and they can be included in the case shipments.
I will be away from Tokyo until the end of July, but they deliver the next day, so, if we go this way, they could be shipped first week of August.
Best Regards,
Davide
1800 yen (about $22 US) for the Rodhium Furutech IEC is a steal. That's like a third of what they cost form the boutique places, and it's probably what it should really cost in the first place. At that price, I'd definitely vote for the FI-10 Rodhium IEC.

If the Furutech IEC could be distributed together with the cases, these would certainly get my vote too.

So that you can use other terminals, like e.g.
Lautsprecher Shop Intertechnik - K220RT | Zubehör > Terminals, Polklemmen > Polklemmen
> If the Furutech IEC could be distributed together with the cases
Yes. We might even want a few ourselves.
😉

I agree... =)

There are thousands of choices : WBT, Cardas, ....
We drill a hole, you can pick your own fancy.

Hi,
I would also vote for the DLX XLRs and I'm sure they look great even if they are mounted outside. But I assume we need the NC3FD-LX-HE, not the NC3MD-LX-HE (they have the same mounting holes however, so it doesn't matter).

That's fine for me.

Yes F for input/receive socket.

Basically the opposite to mains plug tops and socket outlets, since these can kill.

Since we are due to start production end of next week, and we need to tidy up all drawings, I checked all three spreadsheets for status.
4 +1 people have not sent their payments for heat sinks and case.
John, could you kindly contact them by email etc. to get a YES or No.
No problem either way, but we need to confirm quantities now.
As to rear panel options, not everyone has voted.
Those who have, I still see most people choosing baseline.
There have been proposals of late for :
Furutech FI-10 IDE (post #374)
Neutrik NC3FD-LX-HE (post #391)
Marquart 1555.3104 (post #362) or NKK JWM11RAA (post #350)
Time to make up your mind gentlemen. Please update the spreadsheet if necessary.
Early next week, I shall use the spreadsheet as basis for decision and make drawing accordingly.
Thanks,
Patrick

I believe it would be fair to assign two votes in the case option decision finding process to those who bought two cases (Horio, toufu, JBdV, AndrewT). However, AndrewT has mentioned here that he wants blank rear panels.

Andrew T has ordered both blank panels and pre-machined panels. However, AndrewT has mentioned that he wants blank rear panels.
It's just possible that the standard Group Buy panel can be used with my components. If not, or I see an advantage in moving things around, then I will hand fettle the blank panels to suit.
After a lot of consideration I now know what I like best : Furutech IEC FI-10 plus Marguart rocker switch plus a round hole for a fuseholder (13 mm?). For connnecting these together I am in favour of fastons 6,3 mm for all parts.

For the XLR inputs. What would you say about the Furutech FP-682F then we can have all rhodium pins
I have changed my mind too, with respect to switch (Marquart), type of Neutrik XLR connector and power inlet (Furutech), hoping that Nikon1975 can provide the Furutechs.
The Furutech XLR (FP-682F) are very nice and could/would get my vote.
However, the price-tag is steep, about 140 USD per amp (2 pcs., partsconnecxion) and it might be not be just to impose this expense on everybody. I think a vast majority vote would be required to choose this component considering the already outstanding quality of the Neutrik's with a much lower price tag.
Cheers,
Nic
