The work I see in this thread is astounding!
Maybe you won't like me posting something that is basically kit work but I gotta say, it's one super-fine, blow-your-mind, little kit: the Nelson Pass Amp Camp Amp.
This is not my first build, this was a test of my junkyard parts heat sink (it dissipates 62 Watts here, more than I'd hoped 🙂 but the darn little amp sings! Use it to get anyone you want hooked on good SS and soldering 😉

Interesting metaphor.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Interesting metaphor.
Nice amp - those three in the middle heatsinks look strangely familiar... Dell Pentium CPU oem heatsinks? I think these may be the same ones in use on simple MOSFET-BJT Quasi amp

Im lucky enough to have a large metal recycler in my neck of the woods. Even had a guy there looking out for specific styles of heat sinks for a while.
The crab image, well I guess natural forms just get inside ones head. I never looked to nature for the form but it sure is there!
Cheers all!
it's a shame whatwe can found in rubish....see what i found monday :
- 1u 60mhz oscillo and 1u 35mhz one
- 4u wavetek FG2A signal generator
- 10u alu block pentium heatsink
- 5u heatpipe pentium heatsink
I couln't do nothing other than take parts to home.

Simple opinion. For years I thought this forum was for comments and criticisms elect'rnica DIY projects and not for comment users. There, I do not think more about it .

Ok, we all have a right not to share our eye candy with others. 🙂
Getting back to eye candy here is AX11 Bimo mod.
Oh! Beloved candies!

You might want to tighten those bolts.
Finished my fifth Tripath T4 Class D amp I have built. The other four sold. Seven Class Ds in all. This is the latest module from Hifimediy (V1.3). PS is rated 560W at 13A. The rec bridge is soldered directly to the the first cap for maximum current transfer. Filter caps snubbed with 0.01, 0.1 and 10uf polies. Tranni is 500VA. Amp can deliver 180Wpc at 0.01% THD. I'm calling this one
"The Ghost". It is uterly transparent.

Nice neat clean wiring. Great craftsmanship there.
But this is solid state class AB forum and amp is class D. I suppose it is "solid state". Is the amp based. Isn't PSU overkill if amp is 180w?

I was wondering when someone would notice🙂

I think there is no argument, Class Ds are SS amps. Also there is no such thing as a PS overkill, only underkill.

agree, the psu is one half of any amp and is just as important...
