chassis wise you can aim for 50W class A. as long as your room don't get too hot for you.
at 50W class A the sinks should stay around 55C even at ambient temp 25C.
measure the temp at the baseplate right next to one of the outputs.

I did a test with bias to 65W in Class A yesterday and my heatsinks are close to 50 Celcius
If I may ask, at which ambient temperature ?
(the power amplifier you are building is far from suitable for AB operation. you would not enjoy it, imo)

Ambiant temperature of my room is 19-20 Celcius. It's in the basement so it stays cool all year long.
Thanks

The top of the amplifier was installed and it was running for about an hour which is sufficient to know. The temperature stopped climbing after ~40 minutes. Anyways, the 100 watts is a dream but in reality I will most probably put it at around 40 watts in Class A, it gets too hot in the room. In reality and practically, 25 watts in Class A should be sufficient and the rest in AB.
I have to test my comfort level in the room after setting the bias to be at 40 watts in Class A and if too hot in the room bring it down. It will also save on electricity! 😀
Ciao!

I am using that setup as we speak, 4 aleph mini's 20 watts each class a, and a 200watt high speed class a/b..

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Now I using AD8066 (i/v) and AD825 (LPF) instead LM6172+LT1468. I've think, that AD8065 will be a little better than AD825, but not sure.
(new filter for OpAMPs).😀😀😀😱

BTW, 4700 x 2 = 9400....
Please place some videos!
Well done. Very nice looking boards there.
that's a ebay china clone amp.
Well, good luck with your build anyway. I have several, different china amps. They always seem to work out as expected.that's a ebay china clone amp.

Vertical MOSFET output stage, with lateral MOSFET drivers (TO-3P ones).
If I may ask, a clone of which/what ?
first of. it was not zeepup that posted the orignal post with this amp 🙂
Jacco: is there a China e-bay amp that is not a clone of anything? 😀

Not that I'm aware of! They clone anything to make a buck..

sorry yes its 9400 🙂
I'm on a vacation now, but I can post some videos soon.
Vertical MOSFET output stage,
Looks like BIPOLAR to me. I don't recognize those transistors but the PCB specifies 2SA/2SC. BIGBT?
