yeah
those were real Ugly
... but good working amplifiers, I suppose
we should not judge an amplifier . by its LOOK
but by its WORK

Luka ,Luka .. those SMPS's, are cool as hell..
especially the big one.(240V line powered one)
I want one.. to power MOSFET/bipolar amps.
Boy, I could eliminate 15lb toroid bricks, have a light amp!! 🙂
Do you have a layout of that PCB for the bigger SMPS ??
Thank you, OS..

Which amp is that? Could you provide more info on it?
Thanks!
Hi OS
First of all THANKS!
I do have, I have posted all in my tread + on my website, here
Yea I made it just for that, light wight and very small, can be put on 1HE rack case too. But time passed by and I see now that I don't need any amp at home, but thats why I have in car that much more 😀😀
BTW: Hi Lineup, that is my first website, I don't update it anymore, now I have it on my comp, PHP which is really cool to use, easy to change anything, and by being on my comp, you can download any file and no matter what is the size + at 10M internet connection it is pretty fast I think, unless my torrent is on 😀, only bad thing is if I turn off comp, then page won't work, sorry about that...I am still waiting for "Little Falls 2", so that I make small server that will be on 24/7... I will redo my project page, so one will be able to see more clearly what is what, never thought I will have this many things on 😀

Thank you , luka.. I'll have fun ,learn your circuit , reverse
engineer, modify it for stupid US 120VAC..🙂 I like your
inductance meter, too .A must for HF tinkerin'!!
I've done a 1000 car stereo's (repaired many SMPS's)
but never seen anyone make a DIY SMPS!!
Have you ever made SMPS output 70-0-70VDC ??
Thanks, OS. 😀

Hi OS
Before you put too many hours in doing that, let me just say you need only one jumper (under board probably, I didn't include this option, I see now I should) and it will wotk for 120Vac too 😉
DIY is the way to go if possible
No I didn't make one with +/-70v, coz amp doesn't support that high, but with +/-60v I did (should be close enough
)
BTW: Project page was redone, I think it is more user friendly

Resized image to our forum..... this way will be permanently
into this thread.
The other image i have posted used Image Shack as a host.... and
it is frustrating..when we finish our agreement with Image Shack, the
images will disappear from the forum, as hosted into Image Shack.
This way..... even beeing smaller...image will remains.

Carlos

Big Brother
Hi,
after Littl' B, here is Big Brother
Single ended germanium power device
Only one resistor ( kiwame ) in the signal path ( aaaaaaaaarghhhh
)
300 000 µf ( Panasonic ECA ) separated PSU
ACEA ultimate output transformer
Pure class A operation
No feedback configuration...
2 X 2 watts power output

Germanium devices have "interesting" properties for audio. Very nice 🙂 What device are you using out of curiosity.
