@Zoji6645

Since recently building the FH9HVX which has some similarities to the Hafler DH220 (except that the FH9HVX uses Vertical Hexfets instead of Laterals), I’ve been highly curious of Bob Cordell’s wizardry in transforming the DH220 into the 220C as he presented at BAF 2016 (there is a fantastic 90 minute talk on YT). I’m strongly considering building the 220C given that the rest of the supportive circuitry I have already done in my FH9HVX build. The FH9HVX certainly has a foot tapping boogie factor I didn’t expect and recently heard on a superb pair of BMR HT Towers designed by Dennis Murphy.

Thanks for sharing and love the light show on the front. What did you use for balanced inputs?

Best,
Anand.

I designed and built my own, based on Doug Self's ideas. They are powered off each channel's rails by a simple zener referenced linear series regulator to make +/-17V for OPA1656s.
The VU meters' back light is dim upon power-up then when the speaker relays close, they brighten up.

Some of my NAD stuff...
3400 x 6 , 3 working, 2 with issues one for parts
5000 x3 of this CD player.
6300 x, 2 of those, quite potent tape deck.
2400 (one channel goes in protection)
4300 tuner.

All in monitur series.
Planned to have 2 complete working systems, for my garage and summer house. Guess I'm into a third for my bedroom...
