My poweramp TB3/1000 (1)

My contribution to this thread:
- picture 7568: first a picture of the complete set. The poweramps are on the side of the audiorack. The amplifiers themselfes on higher shelf left and right; the dedicated power supplies on the lower shelf. The amps use a 6SN7 as input tube (no picturs in this "glowing tube thread"), a 300b as driver (pictures) and a TB3/1000 as output triode.

- picture 2943: a Full Music Mesh 300B. Nice tube, especially for the money !

- picture 6442: A EML 300B Mesh. Not a nice tube; a GREAT tube. You have to pay for it....but you're getting real quality, a serious bass respons (and i do have the EML 300-XLS as well....but this is not for this thread for the glowing is not much).

- picture 7305: An AVVT 300B Mesh. Also good, but not so good as the EML. And more expensive ?

There will be another set of pictures.

My poweramp TB3/1000 (2)

And the next set of pictures:

- picture 3070: the output triode TB3/1000 (look at this as the European equivalent of 833A). 12 V 10 A.....nice light.

- picture 3095: from the side. Good to see are the two glass rods that allow the anodestructure to expand ! That's right: the complete innards of this triode is made to move in order to surpress tensions !

- picture 4690: daytime picture of the TB3/1000. And yes....you always see a reddish colour. This MUST be visible otherwise the getter is not working properly.

- picture 7036: before the TB3/1000 is used the 833: nothing wrong with that tube !

- picture 7374: the standard combination of EML 300B Mesh + TB3/1000.....serious musical !

And very nice during cold winternights: just listen to the music.....and you don't have to crank up the central heating (on the contrary).
