Poll..anyone interested in an Aikido linestage PCB group buy?

As I think of it I would also like to use seperate triodes for either the input or output. 417A or 5842 or 6C45Pi for inputs for a Phono stage. And 12B4A's instead of the 5687. Maybe triode 6BQ5's.

OR, to save cost, we use only the 9 pin variations which I'm guessing 80% - 90% of the DIY'ers would use.
 
A pcb for the circuitry with pads for p2p sockets might work and be the best approach. Grid resistors could be mounted directly to the socket. Leave the filament connections for P2P? This also allows one to mount the socket in a "normal" manner on the chassis. Best flexibility so far.

I have done two changes as suggested by "Sheldon" and " Agent 5".

2] If we do [1] above, we have to move R12 and C1 south of the tubes. This will eliminate the long trace underneath J2 and J3 and also the long trace on the right side of the board, connecting R10 and C1.

R12 is also connected to C2 and R8. The track has to go to these components also.

I can design and make available boards for LOCTAL and OCTAL tubes separately, instead of designing mother and daughter boards.

Double side board is 2.5 times the cost of single side boards. I can do double side board also.

BTW does someone know about any study as to which board is better for tube audio SS or DS? technically not cost wise ?

I'm not sure. ... our member bonny_kjs mailed me to say that he was having some made....probably got sick and tired of our discussions..a man of action! 😉

For instance I would have liked very small little tracks for the second tube filament...under the socket..about as long as the first one but then leading to the inside of the socket, not the outside....
