Tanks to Zen for the coveted Fugly and to Papa Nelson for the most Excellent
This journey would not have started without Papa giving so much to us Diyers
and the like of Zen Mod helping along on the way
Tanks Ken
Yeah is a bit on the big side (500 x 300 x 500 or 20 x12 x20)
And is definitely no IKEA
Just the first steps on this trip as I got a few issues to sort out.
I need a decent Pre amp to go with it (hint)😀 and the Transformer (1000 VA) is making an awful racket and I am only pulling 7 A Rail out of it.
After that balanced and Cascode and tweaks.
But for now it sounds beter than what I had before so just have to wait for Neighbours and Missus to pop out so I can post my 2 pennies in the Listening Impression.
Just before I go.
Girl friend only comment was "it sounds good".
I was expecting someting like "WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO PUT THAT?
So drink is well called for.
PS: there will be some left if You just happen to be on this side of the Forest

does that make the sinks 400 x 300 x 75 ?(500 x 300 x 500 or 20 x12 x20)
Remind me, what size is your noisy transformer?
Fist of all congrats for your work!
Until you don't hear from her "Oh, darling in your work I see nothing else as your endless love to me!" you can't be sure... even then not...
Don't forgett we, DIY-ers, are all-time "Riders on the (potencial) Storm"...
🙂🙂🙂
(just for fun... please, don't blame me) 😉

Hi Jimbo 51
The Zep 1 is HAT (S)421-40 a Spanish print in pink Babe I'm gonna leave you is just pure bliss.
Jacco
Polk LS1 15 got a bone to pick with Polk
When I asked them for schematic of cross over they fobbed me off
Was thinking of using same nice caps and such to make them beter that’s all
I like the tri dimensional stage they can produce even in my thin living room
But bass is a bit booming (actually not any more)
They are quite similar to the Sonus Faber Cremonas (if I remember)
If I had a chance I would buy the Cremonas even at 3 times the price much beter speaker and definitely beter support.
Ma coule
Riders of the storm most definitely L.A. Woman Elektra 42090 EKS 75011.
Tanks Gyuri
As I said not IKEA most definitely
Just had to give it a go as it is and after 2 3 hours playing sinks at 42 C if that on the warmest spot.
Rails at 26V 3.5A Bias
So just waiting to became balanced.
A bit more in the Listening Impressions
Tanks All.
PS How do you like the Front Panel?

Nice job Bksabath, one question, how did you get the forklift into the living room? or did you use a pallet truck 😀
Looks like polished porcelain floor tile, granito maybe.
(cheaper than robbing a Wyatt Earp front plate)

Hi,
After some problems, including smoke... both amps worked today.
I just listen to their music on this small speaker found at the waste reception centre of my neighbourhood, so no comment on the sound at this stage.
I still need to get rid from a little hum and once everything is fully tuned, I will probably make some paint job...

I call this masochist DIY, if done with an hand drill. And it's not over :-(
Davide
Looking pretty good. Consider this a form of meditation -- F5, over and over, one dot at a time.
Just keep squeezing the trigger....
I call this DIY
Ahhh, ça c'est du bon travail.
(does not count, Masochist is when you show us a piccy of your hand with a straight line of holes)
Nikon
That plate is absolutley briliant even less IKEA than mine.
Me think Carpenter got the meditation bit right.
Keep going

Wow Davide, great work!
You have some real patience. How thick is that panel?
Tomorrow I will do the second part. Just more ventilation holes. I tried to make FW, but the W does not come right. So it will be just holes in rectangular mesh.
Summer is coming. No reason to cook the caps. On the base plate I drilled big 32mm holes, much simpler.
It's a bit of a zen practice.
