what are those wire hold downs and where did you get them?
What wire? Red/black and blue/black?
I use a soft-start similar to Tortello design, so I send the signal from output amp to soft-start and them from here to TRS.
Sorry for my poor English. 🙁
buzzforb, I think they're called self adhesive cable tie mounts, if that's what you're referring to.
Oh sorry. I wont put "But" and my movile change it for "buena"

Creo que se refiere a los soportes de los cables adheridos a las paredes de ambos gabinetes.
I guess he reefer to the hold support for the cables on the wall of both cabinets

Thanks dady.
Ok in the PSU have a pair wire for a led (in the on/off button) and a wire from IEC to this botton. In the Amp. This wire conect the rcas with the pot.
I don't know if i need change something. Psu and Amp haven't earth ground and I'm thinking add a loop breaker for safety.

Thought I'd share a pic of my cap stash. 33000uF 25V BC components, roughly 1.4F in total. 6922EH for scale.
Twelve lucky caps will soon be smoothing ripples in a new headphone amp build, a sneak preview of which is in the second pic 🙂

Please post frequency response figures if you can. I would like to see the result of using the Lundahl and the lower input capacitance of the Crees.
Looks like you are using heatsinks from CPU's with or without fan assist?

Hi! I got a bunch of Apple G5 processors with heat sinks and I am using these. It looks like I can get away without fans. The Lundahl 1527 measures nicer than the Jensen's specs in the datasheet. Once it is set up completely with the actual power supply I will measure frequency response anyways and I'll try to remember posting them.
Fantastic idea kaputt! I got a G5 on the street and took the same heatsink for next equipment

Here's a couple of images of my bread board Zen V8, no feed back, mono block (there are two). I've been listening to them for about a year now lime this. Just haven't had time to upgrade the parts and build a chassis.
The little heat sink is for the JFET and the big one is for the MOSFET. Wood block isolates them because I didn't use insulators, only thermal grease. Notice the switching power supply. With a CLC filter and star ground, I was able to quiet the buzzy ripple enough so that I have to put my ear a couple of inches away from the speaker to hear it.
