The way Kees is building they'll be done in a jiffy. But I still need to buy the drivers. Since I don't have the cash I need to buy with my credit card. The nearest place I found that accepts credit cards won't answer my emails!!!How long before we get to listen to them?
So the bottleneck is getting the drivers...
The next "problem" will be the filter I'm not sure if I should go traditional...or use something like the Behringer digital crossover and tri-amp. Or tri-amp and use the MOX boards I still have ..but have not used yet.
BassAwdyO, I guess Kees Soeters's stuff qualifies for your golden ruleThe golden rule of DIY:
I think those are definitely worth tri amping. Far too purdy to just use passives.
One question: If you don't have the drivers, how do you know how far to recess the area that the surround of the woofer is going to travel into on your baffle? Did you just use Xmax specs and make it a bit more than that?

I'll say! Where did you find Kees anyways? And how much does this guy cost?!?
I found him drunk under a bridge...searching for the meaning of lifeI'll say! Where did you find Kees anyways? And how much does this guy cost?!?
Nah..I met him through Evelien who is a friend of my wife and I.
Kees has very reasonable rates. But the horn building I believe is a one off thing. Just takes too much of his time.
Check out

which is Kees's site.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Hi Doc,Any progress on the plans of the drivers and/or tri-amping?
Yes. Kees wants the
BM12W for Bass
SD-450N for the high
and SD-740 for the mids
All P-Audio.
Tri-Amping.. will be a mix of amps that I have available. Am building the ZEN V9, a Pushpull 2A3 and a PP 6N6P a la James Doddington.
Crossover probably a modified Behringer digital crossover.
Yep that is him basking in the beautiful glow of the setting sun on a lovely spring day here in the Netherlands. Is that the famous Mr. Kees?
