Wow! That is a great looking amp. How did you do the top plates? That mirror finish is very nice with the glass and other accents.
very easy,need any sheet metal (stainless,brass,copper) I use naval brass (to avoid corrosion) this time.Use palm sander,400 sandpaper than 800,and finish it with good polishing paste

For my ears its sounds nice and clean (i measure around 17W and -0,7 % distortion around 10W if i remember correctly) - only if turn- up the volume to the max -
can hear the distortion caused by the CCS ( i saw that with scope) - otherwise behaves like a normal tube amp and its very simple design. But I will not listen so loudly.

on these tubes, plate-glass seal is 200-180´c max..
you are redplating.. and cooler hidden inside glass ampoule, uh oh
Here was Wavebourn Gubernator - 71 prototype during the test... Ideal temperature regime for all components. USSR taught me to design electronics equipment for all special conditions. ;-)

not 180-200.it is 220 C .after 60 hours of work they get max of 340F (170C)
measurements show that special made thick glass ampules are cooling down anode caps by about 50-60F .
Let me repeat now.they do not need forced cooling

Thank you! The figure on the front is really nice. It was a pretty bowed piece of wood and the apron is just ever so slightly out of square, but the wood grain is totally worth it.
Finish is just Danish Oil and elbow grease.
