PeeCeeBee

Now the links take me to posts 1901, 1946, 2292, 2186 & 2261
Do they work for anyone else?

work like a charm here

I think these are the right posts.
(Links working right for me, both in firefox and chrome.)

I hope I did it in the correct method and the links work for everyone.
You and two others can now see your links going to the correct pages.
It's Prasi that wants us to be "defaulted".

Hello guys.

Did anybody tried to test PeeCeeBee with differents IMD tests?
I tried one (on the amps I have, still waiting for the PeeCeeBee pcbs to arrive ) that is :

6.5k -5db with 7k -17db.

And I found very interesting results. but I have no idea how relevant is a test like that?
how common is to have music with this kind of reproduction pattern.

Thanks

Hi brunogiovs.

I haven't done an IMD test for the PeeCeeBee. There is some relevance of this test especially when the amp in question has too low slew-rate. But PeeCeeBee versions have 60-70V/uS which is much more than sufficient for the power output of these amplifiers at the highest frequency of interest. The V4 increased the ceiling further to 100V/uS so IMD is expected to be barely a problem. The many listening tests also indicated the same, i.e. effortless production of music without any loss of clarity anywhere in the audio band.

🙂

Interesting. and more interesting aspects of this test was when I increased considerable the bias on one of the amps under test.. it start to perform much better. I got really surprised.

Thanks
