Thanks to PMA you can see measuring results of distortion LM 4780 in PA 03 module, measured by his multitone method. You can compare distortion of generator with distortion of complete amp. All is measured by output power 5 W / 8 Ohm and results are surprisely good. At first distortion of generator by 10 kHz :

-100 dB approx for the 3rd tone, = 0.001% and -95dB for first harmonic. Impressive for a "bad" and "boring" IC according to some.

2x220W/4ohm questions...
I'm looking for amps to power a pair of Siegfried Linkwitz's Thor subwoofers - Pavel's website says that the PA03 modules can be paralleled for high current output 220W/4ohm operation amking it perfet for the job. (And much cheaper than the $750 amp Siegfried suggests).
Are two modules needed for 2x220W or four modules?
Also, what does his kit contain? Just the PCB or everything except the power transformers, rectifiers, and PS caps?
For a subwoofer amp would I need 2 or 4 transformers?
