1 : O&C said it was sold in Hong Kong '03.
2 : HK is 220Vac.
3 : O&C measures higher rails than to be expected.
4 : Silly fck messed around with this amp.
1+2+3+4 => amp transformer still wired at 220Vac setting.
(don't have to read the bible to know the Pope is in drag)

now i'm gunna go read those last posts properly, but yes, transformer primaries being wrong would explain a lot......

just swapped the primaries around...
with current mains of 235, filters are sitting at 36, and the hum has dropped by ??? 1/2 maybe if not more.
still possible to hear it in a quiet room, but you have to listen for it now.
much better 😀 - not perfect, but better. i can live with it now, for the moment..

its absolutely silent. just how i will get this x150 😀
