G'Day,
Rather late on the way to Paradise, and i have not read the last 400 pages (yet), ...
Therefore my ignorant question: is it still possible to get a set of PCB's?

Send a pm to Algar Emi he did a group buy a short while ago. You might be lucky and he still has some boards.
In case somebody else (in Europe) is just starting to source bits and bobs, have a look at this Polish supplier for transformers:
ptc10 – PowerUC
No stock of 2x 22V atm, because i bought the last ones, but was told that more will be available in a couple of weeks time.
Paid EUR 56 for four including UPS to Spain.

Would somebody be kind enough to point me to an article/thread that explains what the Calvin buffer actually does, and/or what advantage it will bring to use it with the Paradise. Have tried to get some information, but was not really successful.

Hi and Thank You,
This answered (at least) the first part of my question:
Start - Me - calvins-audio-pages
Still hoping for a few crumbs on the second part 😉

It removes the need to find honest 2sk170 and provides a more easily tunable output stage with built in offset trimming.
And it sounds a little bit better in terms of separation and drive.

Thank you.
Had another look and it does not look too difficult or expensive to do.
Got 20 pieces 2SK170 from a private source; is there an easy way of finding out whether they are genuine?

Do you have a DCA75 pro?
There idss and gm are shown. This is a hint, whether they are original.
Post hires pics. Some fakes are easy to spot.

Also I don't see the orientation of the symbols on your transistors.

They look fake the 1 should just be a straight line and that etching looks too deep.
Ill check my own stock.....

These were bought from Alweit about 5 years ago. Curve traced and measure right, and look like the ones I have left over from a B1 build over 10 years ago.
