The transformer has dual primary’s & each primary is connected to the differential
output of a single DAC section.
I’m running the DAC in dual mono mode so two DAC outputs per channel.

Some of the old and big Sony, Marantz and Philips players has dual mono TDA1541 chips. Is it possible to run 4mA + 4mA from these chips for a total of 8mA for the primary side of your transformers?
cbarth, yes, but two primary coils (CT to GND) will be needed.
Ok, cool. 😀
So like my 0,5+0,5:2+2 would work in this situation? Do you know if anybody has tried this configuartion?
AFAIK nobody with my transformers, but I know a lot of people did similar connection in the past.
At least you can try and I will be really appreciated if you will back here with results

Hi Ivan, 'bisesik'
So your I/V transformers can handle the high current (60ma P to P) of the Stereo ES9038 PRO,
what about the PRO in Mono (120ma P to P)
Would that require a larger core/transformer ??

I mean... It is definitely possible to do with bigger core size, but it will be another individual approach with individual budget for R&D. Probably will be too costly for single DAC (within DIY).
Hi bisesik
Just sent you a private message for transformers inquiry for AK4497 DAC output.
Thanks

Hi Bisesik,
I have a Mirand AK4490 DAC and would like to try a transformer output. Do you already have a mezzanine PCB for it? The Mirand DAC uses a mezzanine PCB for output.
Thanks
Do

Hi Do,
I have no a mezzanine PCB for output 🙂
What "mezzanine" means BTW? Something special in terms of pins\lines provided or is it just a name of 5x2 pin header?

Hi bisesik,
Mirand uses another PCB on top of the DAC for the output. Here's the layout of the DAC board. J10 is a 5x2 header. They have opamp output board and two discrete output boards available but no transformer output.
AK4490 USB Dac with dsd support.

Thanks
Do

Conventionally a mezzanine relates to a building and is a smaller sub-floor that is located between two main floors. In the context here it means a small PCB that sits above the main PCB.
What is your final decision for DSC 1:4 or anything else?
For the standard production your wire is pure industrial copper or OFC?

Due to the restrictions of manufacturing efficiency in terms of time I am stopped on 1:4 version.
I use the old rare wire from USSR, and can not answer if there was any such terminology in that time 🙂

Hi. Has anyone tried the transformers of Bisesik on the dac DSC and can say an audio level the differences found compared to the chinese output transformers ?? Thank you.
I will buy transformers and share my detailed foundings here.
