Official M2 schematic

I want to share my finalized M2 build. After 2 years of owning a CNC machine, I've finally gotten comfortable and proficient enough for my first build with a "from scratch" enclosure. It ended up 20.5" x 11 x 9 and weighs right around 40 lbs!

Some details of the components:

- PSU and M2 PCBs from teabag GB
- Softstart and speaker protect from diyaudio store. The speaker protect indicator is broken out to the front panel LED switch so it blinks during protection / startup 🙂
- Heatsinks are from Heatsink USA, 10.08" profile (http://www.heatsinkusa.com/10-080/) for M2s, and smaller profile for bridge rectifier
- I got a good deal on the transformers on eBay. They are from Signal Transformer, 300VA/36VCT, have a static shield, and weigh a good 8 lbs each: https://belfuse.com/resources/MPI.pdf
- Iron transformer cover, massive binding posts, RCAs, feet are from gd-parts on eBay / Wholesale Buy Various Tube Guitar Amp DIY Repair Parts from mafaudio Vintage HIFI DIY. After seeing similar binding posts mounted vertically on some McIntosh amps, I knew I wanted to try something similar.
- T-slot extrusions for the sides from Misumi

I couldn't be happier with the M2's performance. Thank you to everyone that made this build possible and for making such a great project available.

GREAT work !!:cheers::cheers:

just for the case size a short question - modushop dissipante...
4U with 400mm is enough? for 22V rail
for rail about 24V - Iq is about 1.8 then 5U 400mm?

According to Tea bags list and comment....i have to wait 😉

I second Zen Mod in that the 4U / 400 mm is big enough for a 24V rails M2.

I don't have a Modushop enclosure, but have built my enclosure around heatsinks 160 mm high (4U) by 400 mm long. The fins are 40 mm with no further small waves in them, so my heatsinks should dissipate heat not quite as well as the Modushop 4U / 400 mm.

My M2 runs with 24V rails at 1.81A bias current (Toshiba 2SJ201/2Sk1530). I can leave my hands on the heatsinks until I get bored 😀, so there are still reserves in heat dissipation capacity.

Best regards,
Claas

Please, someone, sell a pair a pair Edcore transformer to me so I can test these amp.
If I ordered from Edcore they charge $50 shipping cost I just do not have that finances to pay for two small transformers plus shipping and tax over $100
I purchase me PB board at GB just PC boards no transformers like the later GB.
Greetings

You could PM Tea-Bag and see if he has any extras.

I have to contact with Tea-Bag if I order the transformer from Germany will cost even more
I do not see if anyone sell it in N America accept direct ordering from Edcore. Their shipping charge is over the roof.
I will check also at the DIY audio store if they sell without the PC boards
I got my PCB before Tea-Bag started his GB and I do not have the transformers. Without I can not complete the PCB to test to decide to keep it or sell it.
Greetings and thank you for the help.
