I think JDS will send the O2 amplifiers that have been assembled more quickly than this component Group Buy. JDS wrote would send them on 29 November (3 days from now).

and we'll get yet another dont worry guys, trust me everything's coming together. oh and qusp, i'll send your boards as soon as i can get to a post office..... well i dont know about down in SA, maybe its different down there, but up here in the big smoke, I have a choice of 3 post offices that i pass on the way to going just about anywhere, failing that, given its just a couple of PCBs; just drop the bloody package in the postbox.
I have a busy life too, I probably work longer hours than you do and tbh we have nothing but words to show that you are doing anything at all that prevents you from doing anything. i dont really care that much about the pcbs, but on principle this is REALLY starting to **** me off!! and i'm sure the throngs of people who unfortunately gave you larger amounts of money would be encouraged to see that you are cable of doing a single simple thing you say you will.

oh and my money's on Ford GT lover getting his done including a nice case before this lot of kits ship
OK - you all don't have to believe a damn thing I say, I understand that. I've been in touch with fordgtlover and you'll see me back here sunday afternoon / evening with some results for you - of course you still won't believe this till you see it - this is merely out of courtesy to let you know I haven't forgotten you all!
I'd still love to sell off some more kits
...snip
OK, how's this for a win - win...
I have already bought 2 additional boards from JDS, and I am just about to pull the trigger on an order for 2 full sets of parts from Mouser.
If you can guarantee delivery of my PCBs and small parts (excluding batteries, case & wall wart) to me within the next week, I'll buy parts from you rather than Mouser.
My main issue at this point is funds - sending out refunds has significantly drained the shipping fund - so I'm desperately trying to scrounge up money myself but I really, really need to sell some of the surplus!
That will put some nice funds back into your kitty for postage of kits to others.
PM me if you want to discuss this. If I don't hear from you by tomorrow, I'll go ahead with the Mouser order.

Update as promised.
I've unfortunately only been able to progress so far with packaging as I have neglected to buy antistatic foam for shipping the ICs in. However I've got some pictures and info for you nonetheless and I'll purchase the foam tomorrow to hopefully knock out most of the remaining packaging tomorrow evening. (I am working until 8-9pm every night this week so don't expect me to be online before then)
I will however arrange for qusp's & DMZ's boards to go out tomorrow as promised. They are packaged up in front of me and ready to go out!
So - to business. As per broken record i'm packaging - however it's a helluva job! 19 packages per order - 38 orders - that's over 700 little baggies to pack up and label, then I have to collect & package them ready for shipping.
Some pics for you (FULLSIZE WARNING: ~4mb each)

Pretty much everything - waiting on panels andb power supplies. Before it got dug into too much. You can see a stack of label sheets to the right.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57010/diyaudio/DSCF1801.JPG
Gee those red and blue caps are pretty! Not to mention blue and black knobs. Big sticks of IC tubes to the right.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57010/diyaudio/DSCF1802.JPG
PCBs and batteries - I don't think my camera's image stabilization is working...
That big USPS box contains the rest of the batteries.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57010/diyaudio/DSCF1803.JPG
Rest of the parts that didn't fit on the table. Sticks of SIP sockets, caps, audio sockets, and the rest of the boring passives.
I have also prepared a shareable copy of my finances spreadsheet for anybody who is interested. I won't post it on here in public however any of you feel free to email or PM me and I'll send you the link.
What's done in the shareable copy? I've removed personal info, such as phones, emails, and shipping addresses. I've also tidied it up a little (there was a lot of clutter from one-time calculations that weren't needed) and added some total figures to make the current position clear.
Anybody who wants a chat in realtime - contact me on skype as 'bluefusion1' - I can also send you the finance sheet on skype and we can discuss any queries you may have.
Edit: will also have pics of packaging in progress at next opportunity (which is tomorrow night when I have foam for the ICs).

Thanks for the update on where things are up to.
Any idea when you'll get panels back from being machined?

Postal Address change
Hi BlueFusion
I have PMed you with some details of my postal address change.
I had'nt counted on it taking this long, my plan was to actually have one amp finished to use on my break overseas (and to test headphones with, using my iPod classic and LOD, whilst in Hong Kong) during December / January.
My options are to either have it shipped to hong kong and build it there which I'm fine with, or have the package sent to my brothers place in Melbourne and build it on my return in Febuary.
My preferance is to have the parts to make one kit sent to Hong Kong (a usefull project whilst on holidays) and my second kit sent to my brothers place in Melbourne (This will minimise the shipping costs).
Thumbs up and Fingers crossed - Enrico.

BlueFusion,
I tried to PM you, but it looks like your inbox is full, so I'll just post it here.
In my O2 order I had asked for one wallwart but at one point you were thinking of an international plug with adapter due to availability and price. Is this still the case or were you able to source ones with an australian plug?
I mentioned this in the group by thread but I'd prefer to source my own wallwart if the ones you're supplying have international plugs. I'm not sure if you saw that (I didn't follow up), so will I be receiving a wallwart of some description in my order? I'd like to know so I can source the extra parts if required.
Also, if you still have extra batteries you want to get rid of that you're not using for the extra kits you're wanting to sell I can take an extra pair off your hands; I'm sure I'll find a use for them.
Thanks for the update as well.

Just to let everyone know,
I PMed BF weeks ago stating that I would like to buy one complete kit if he has any leftovers/spares. He told me he would place me on the 'priority list' for it.
So far, I have not received any PM from him - so much for running out of funds to pay for shipping.
I won't be buying anything from him, I rather do-it-myself.

Sounds good, am looking forward to seeing them!
Brief update before I go get my 5 hours of sleep -_-
(working 14 hour days in the theatre this week, doesn't leave much time for packaging)
"boards only" orders have gone out - including qusp's
fordgtlover's two kits have gone out (minus panels and wallwart; panels to follow).
ezzo - my sincere apologies - you fell off my list! If you would like a single 'complete kit' including components, pcb, batteries, wallwart, enclosure, front panel and resistor kit - it settles to $105 (AUD).
Manzanita Cross (Enrico) - I'm happy to ship to hong kong; do you still want the power adaptor too or will you find your own to fit a HK outlet? The minimal cost for shipping will be to ship both kits to one place and it won't really cost any more to throw a second one in to HK.
qusp - I'd love to shift some batteries to you - they're one of the more expensive items (per unit) and I've actually ended up with a whopping 10-20 surplus. Remind me when you pay for your order - they're $4.46 each but i'd like to get 5 bucks each for them if possible.
schlagzeuger - yes they are UK plugs with adaptors. I can either drop it frmo the order or send it anyway? As for the batteries - sounds great. Let me know what you wanna do about the plugpack and we'll work out if you owe me any money.

For those looking for plugpacks with an AU plug, it seems jaycar is out of stock nationally for the MP3020 (12VAC 500mA) until mid December. I was getting some other stuff and while I was there purchased an MP3026 (12VAC 1A) and have measured it at 14.1VAC with no load. According to NwAvGuy: O2 Details 13.5VAC no load is sufficient so unless your line voltage is significantly less than mine this transformer will get the job done.
BlueFusion; I'll keep the wallwart in the order, I have ideas on how to use it. I'll also add 2 extra batteries (total 4 batteries and 1 wallwart, yeah?).
