At the moment I'm listening to Philadelphia jazz station WRTI on internet radio. They're having a tribute to drummer Rashied Ali, who died recently. His brother and son are in the studio being interviewed. Right now they're playing a track from "Judgment Day Vol. 2". Good stuff!
Rashied Ali the master of organized chaos ie multi-directional rhythm. Love his drumming and methods. RIP
Yeah. His grandson was in the studio and just gave a really touching tribute about how Rashied's work ethic inspired him to achieve. Great kid.
