he lives in china...😀 😱

I have already received of the material from honk kong but the shipment has been much slow and a lot often I have had to pay of the taxes customs without reason for having the material. If for the september end the PCB is ready perhaps it is better to wait for ..... I hope that meantime the service postage them better….even if not thik.....

hi Areman,

I trust U, pay safe only.

If Put your chips in DAC & test is it better??
I not like to make any diyers disappointed. full set to test will better.
If U not agreed, no problems, I will let U know the funish dac minus the chips prce & post to U later.

Hi raikkonen,

I was not live in China, But my private production line was in China. Otherwise cannot maintain all items in low price.

I live in hong kong. officer of hong kong government is my job.
Diy was my hobby only.
pls understand.

MGH & fedde,

If the time not delay, U will see the sample with output transformers photos on 2006-09-10.

thx

Hi Thomas,

Back from holiday, the cd control kit was waiting for me with pair of AD797. While i was waiting for the AD797, i tried opa2604. 2604 makes voices sweet and mellow but are less transparent than the old NE5534. AD826 gains in high frequencies but are somehow less detailed in low range. AD797 beats them, i find it well balanced between high and low.

As usually said great job U did.

By the way will U offer later an cascode/jfet output stage or even a tube buffer output for those who has taken the non profit ver.3 DAC.

RTD,

Hi Thomas

I have understood that want to make a better thing and want disappoint nobody. When you have ready the PCB ,i send you my four DAC TDA1541A and if necessary also the CS8412.

Can be one solution?

What do you think ?

This is the foto that my project that i dont have tested again.
I had a problem whith the TL431 regulator that your control became very hot .Not the regulator...only the resistor...
I must had increase the power of the resistor......

hi Areman,

sure it must need re-clock.

I don't know Your design about the power supply. since this several days I was testin for the slunt regulator. A little different was the method. I regulate the current test was beter than the voltage. I need to test several days more. If I really better. I will considerate choose this method.

Regarding parallel chips.

Pls considerate every channel not parallel more than two chips.

otherwise too many problems U need to fix.

In my opinions, I still like to choose programme control the +,- signal to every channel for synchronization. Version two I tested was quite good, it made the bass more powerful & deep. Sorry my english was not good. but ver.2 program chip improve time for the date steam of ( left '+',right'+') & ( Left'-', right'-') same time input the 1541a chips. This is a small module put into the dac, If I had update of the progame. Diyers can easy upgrade. This progamme was not written by me, its from my friend who was a DSP progamme engineer. Jitter will lower too.

thx

thomas

The power supply PCB is very simple. The trafo have two secondary : 6-0-6 and 16-0-16 this can permit to generate a dual output voltage trough the 78LXX & 79LXX series regulator. The final voltage is +5/-/-5 and +18/0/-18. So the voltage it can be reduced to a 15v + - by the TL431. But the power supply is not a problem. I have tested the voltage in the pin of each chip and it seems ok.

It only remains to me to try it. One of this day I will make it.

In any case when your PCB is ok you hold of it from part two pieces inasmuch as I have 4 DAC to mount to us.

I have a question.

How much is better ? the CS8414 or the CS8212?
