I received the 8 TDA1541As couple days ago. They look to be in good condition, but you sent them in bubble wrap - doesn't bubble wrap produce lots of static electricity? An antistatic bag would have been better, don't you think?

hi mike, don't worry, only the 8414 SMD type will easy damage.
If final U test your chips had problems I will exchnage to U.

BTW, the funish ultimate VER.3 1541a DAC will supply to arket on October.
Since I source a supply had NI-PC EI 80% Permalloy lamination.
I will optional for USER choose this or not.
Ultimate Ver.3 can use 80% Nickel permalloy for it will very good.
pls see the connection between OP-amp & Trans.

NI-PB EI 46 50% Permalloy 0.2mm Lamination.
size of the OPT EI 46X36mm.
since the small OPT had air-gap & can running DC.
1:1 OPT running for AC signal only. Look's the 80% will better.
But I hope to collect some advise for dyers.
Standard OPT follow with the kit will use Z11 EI 0.3mm laminations.
Taiwan OCC wire.
Price for the 80% Nickel. + USD145 per pair with the dac.
Price of the 50% Nickel + USD115 per pair with the dac.
This is minus the standard OPT which was use Z11 laminations already.
All were furukawa Riken wire.
I will optional for USER choose this or not.

I will prepare in full funish & test but will not contain with chassis.
USB receiver, signal selection board & nano pulse xformers will follow with every kit. OPT standard output stage will use 2X5532 & 1 5534. But diyers can upgrade to BC109/2N930 cascode output stage. SE( RCA ) output stage stage will use pre-amp Output transformers to cnnect.
Do U know the power supply also need to test in safe since if total parallel two chips every channel ( total 4 chips) I must test the power supply is stable or not!!!)

During accumulate the experience the previous experience. I still prefer produce fully test & funish version DAC. At least Diyers can hear music quickly & considerate how to change parts to modify.
secondly was I cannot gurantee your chips can work. If U had interest with my dac later. I will advise U post your four chips to me & I will fit into yor dac, under test pass & pst U back all. Cost only little bit postage but U will less risk.
