We'll probably get them eventually. Better that they sort stuff out properly, no need to rush it.
Sadly no. Q, Vas both far too high. A horn's gain BW is designed around a given driver to provide the optimal load / response balance for that unit. Assuming you want to run it reasonably low, the SB will need a different horn optimised to its requirements.
I'd like one to stuff into a one cubic foot airspace (sans duct) "XKi" - it might require a stub if the cavity peak looks like the BP6 model

I have no idea.

Just sent them an email:
We'll see what happens.
Edit:
That's TLHP btw, where I ordered from.

Hello.
Just wondering if there's any very broad and general indication (does not have to be very exact) of availability on the SB20FRPC30-8 in my previous order.
I'm not in a hurry, just curious if you've heard anything from the factory.
Best regards
Kent

FYI:
The "..." is merely a placeholder for text that does not really provide any specific information.
So nothing new, they're a bit delayed.
Looking forward to getting these, not in a hurry, they will get here when they get here.

A BIB type cabinet design ?? could it enhance the driver more?
"Acceptable" measures come out of the spreadsheet
the driver would be at an ideal height from the ground (35 inches / 90 centimeters)
I have attached the screen with the dimensions
Fr 39 hz

Just had a chat with my distributor.
They said SBA is currently shipping the units so we should get them soon.

Seen anything yet?
Just got this message from tlhp:
Nice to know what's going on, not sure what I'll do with them though. With all this time to reconsider I find myself wobbling back and forth between various solutions.

new set back.
My distributor said they were scheduled to receive this driver next week, but SBA called and said they went back to the production line as they are still having problems.
There is no timeline for when it might be available.
So, don't hold your breath for a Xmas miracle.

Nope, nothing other than production issues and quality concerns.
Twice they have started production and then stopped.
I'm not sure if this driver will ever reach us....

Well... not looking good.
The driver has disappeared from SBA's website.
I guess it is not coming!

I'm not sure what's happening, have sent an enquiry about this driver but so far they claim it's still in the works.
Here's the reply I got from TLHP:
And I know for a fact that the shipping industry is facing a lot of issues caused by the ongoing pandemic, so it's still possible that the driver will be made. Just a lot of problems with loading/unloading/supply/demand in a lot of different industries at the moment.
Here's the reply I got from TLHP:
This product is always tracked, otherwise your order would already be canceled. We confirm that this product is in the process of supply, however we encounter a lot of supply delay on products having spare parts coming from Asia, or supplied by sea. This product was to be delivered in late January / early February, but the Europe depot does not seem to have received this product yet. We are relaunching this day for more information on the arrival date.

I'm afraid they just want to retain your money as long as they could.
We spoke directly to SBA and they said production has halted and they are trying to resolve some issues. They did not offer any information about when the production issues would be expected to be resolved, nor any shipping eta.
One thing is for sure, they haven't shipped any units.
And they won't ship anytime soon.
Plus the fact that the driver has disappeared from the website, probably means it will take a very long while until they start producing it.... If at all.
I'd get my money back, if not we're you.

We eventually used the MR16 this way, its a midrange version
It was far better than the Mark Audio, Fostex and Tangband by far but i personally thought it'd need some correction for a flatter response but fullrange loving friends accept it as is not wanting any crossover parts

Hi fishball79/Chris
Did you use any correction filter with Satori MW16?
They call it as a midwoofer. It makes about 15khz(I think it is enough). How does this driver sound?

Indeed, but it seems to me that they haven't quite given up just yet.
If it comes before or during summer I'll still be happy. No doubt the price will most likely be higher if I have to buy it later on. I'll wait for any more information from TLHP before making a decision.
