New project: Bliesma T34B in WG, 18WE, 32W

Distortion measurement of T34B in WG, mic distance 50cm, 1.41V (already very loud with that tweeter).

Bliesma only or whole loudspeaker?
Blisma only, in WG, I think 110dB is quite conservative estimate. Considering you mean THD ~-40dB. 32W in closed box will run out of excursion limit at 20Hz at around 107dB, half space, one loudspeaker, no EQ.

What SPL does that come to, and what would the peak SPL be without distortion crossing a reasonable number say -35 or -40db?
Thanks

- 32W and 18WE drivers ordered
- carpenter has cabinet plans and started to work on it. I assume it will take 2-3months
- I will export front baffle STL and STEP for cnc
- hopefully this week I would like to measure the impact of some protective elements for bliesma (I will use two toothpicks for the beginning)
- I will order custom terminal plates for triwiring binding posts (WBT 0703 Cu)

There will also be flush mounted wheels in the plinth.

I am hoping toothpicks will have almost zero effect, but.....
It is probably safer to keep those protective elements further from the dome. Another aspect is, they should have the surface area as small as possible, and not flat, so it doesnt reflects energy back to the dome.

Don't be afraid of that.
Wavelength of a 20 kHz tone is 17 mm......
Sometimes you guys see ghosts where there aren't any
