Papa told us a while back in the F8 thread that there would be something new from First Watt at Axpona 2023. Anyone here going at Axpona? 😎
Who wants to spend 500 bucks for a 2h to flight to Chicago? I would go if it was a place like Asilomar, CA. I hope Nelson will send a delegation to Munich next month. 😉
The SIT-4 will be there in Refined Audio's room.
Probably something with a large footprint, something some of us are very fortunate to have.
A clone is bound to emerge in these parts in no time!Tokin it must be!
The real question is what will it be: a follower, a Mu follower, or something with a VAS on the front end.
I think it could be a bit still before we see something for us to build, so while I have devices burning a hole in my pocket I'm building the Singing Bush right now and after will build Ben Mah's follower.

Hopefully, because if one doesn't have Tokin's they are available.Tokin it must be!
Fantastic system. I listened to these drivers last year. It was a small room and too many people I didn't get to stay long enough.
I'll try again this year.

Super cool! Thanks for that glimpse. For the greedy boys!
10W=single stage amp? But those tokins need a driver stage so why such low wattage? All will be revealed in time…
My guess - CD follower with mosfet CCS and signal iron front end. Or maybe the MUFF will make an appearance…
SIT-1 was single ended common source with resistor load, mono block, 10W at 8R
SIT-2 was single ended common source with CCS load, stereo, 10W at 8R
SIT-3 was DEF push-pull, stereo, 18W at 8R
SIT-4 10W at 8R and "Glorious Triode Sound": Probably not a repeat of SIT-1 or SIT-2, but then "Glorious Triode Sound" to me means a certain amount of second harmonic distortion. So what is left is common source with choke load, or some sort of common drain single ended, but common drain has less of the "Glorious Triode Sound".

SE common source Tokin run with high voltage, and output transformer?
Plus some type of fet based input stage with a couple of dB gain.
