Interesting question.
Just as the opposit question: can handle a 45.1584/49.152 MHz clock Kali 22.5792/24.576 MHz I2S input?

@cdsgames
Is the DigiOne = Kali version 2?
If yes, then will the DigiOne have also I2S output?
If no, then will Kali version 2 have onboard isolator?
DigiOne has only spidif output
Kali 2 , we are still working on it..not finished yet the design or all features.Will update when having something more concrete to say.
Hi guys,
What frequency is the Kali's MCLK output? Is it the selected clock's direct output (e.g. 45/49 MHz) or some fraction of it (e.g. selected clock / 2 -> 22/24 MHz)?
I ask this because not all DAC chips can handle 45/49 MHz MCLKs...
If it's the direct output, then it would be nice if the v2 board could output MCLK and MCLK / 2 as well, something similar to jlsounds's I2SoverUSB
Direct (buffered) MCLK 44/49

Any news on isolator HAT, when will it be available?
Is Kali version 1 still available?
SOSsolutions The Netherlands can not give me a date when Kali 1 is available again...
Any news on AK4497 / R2R ? 🙂

sos will have it in stock in about a week (Kali)
Isolator..this week we received PCBs for about 5 projects including the isolator. We need to assemble and test. Will update when I have more info but should not be too long..

Maybe it's not to late asking peaple what features they need ...
I'm having issues with a 'skip' now and again probably of around 0.7 seconds. It doesn't stop playing like i have lost the i2s lock but misses out the audio completely with now clicks or distortion.
(I've got the Kali mounted on a Pi3 running moode supplied by a regulated PSU with r core. I2s is feeding a DAM 1021 DAC powered by salas PSU's.)
Any idea's?

Hmm never heard such thing...whitout Kali in chain it works without skips ?
Basically giving the data on clock supplied by Dac... how will the fifo buffer add value ?Will ver. 2 support DAC as I2S master?

I have encountered similar issues with the Kali reclocker and DDDAC1794. Skipping but without distortion.I'm having issues with a 'skip' now and again probably of around 0.7 seconds. It seems to have gone though after switching from Picoreplayer 3.11 to 3.20beta.

Yes had it playing flawless for about a year. After fitting the Kali, it started.
I'm currently changing moode buffer before play and buffer size incase it's under buffering.

By enabling the optimum clock topology for a DAC chip.
//
Data will have skew since it passes through the isolator...we need to check its fine when received by the DAC ic...but yes you are right , it should work.
Yes isolator will work for both master/slave DACs

Do you already have more information about the isolator board, some details? When will it be available?

This week I will post some details.
I'm a bit late to the party having only recently discovered the Kali and tracked it back to this thread 😉 I intend to use it with an RPI and DDDAC bulld that I am putting together at present.
If possible CDSgames could you give an approximate date for the new Kali2 launch, and also indicate what advantages it would bring to my proposed build?
Since I'm still reading through the thread I have not yet come up to speed with all the developments, but I gather there is a plan to add an isolator to the Kali too?
