I made up a mono low pass BTL mode adapter that I use with my TA3020 and TA2022:

because I was asked repeatedly about kit purchasing form choices by many ppls, i decided to sell some of the pcb's in kit form as well, the empty pcb and all the parts necessary for assembly a complete amplifier. i will add few thru-hole boards for the beginning. the IRaudamp7 amplifier, LM4702 and LME49810 based amplifiers, all contains only thru-hole components, no SMD.
the prices will be lower than for fully assembled and tested board, arround 70-75% of the assembled board price.

slow start board
Hi CNX,
Please see the schematic for the power supply for the F5 that I am building.
WIth the soft start board, Can I omit the thermistors?
Thanks

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Please upload the schematic again, i just cannot see it.
do you want to remove the thermistors from the powersoftstart ? is a bad ideea. at least replace them with some power resistors, 5-20R at at least 25W.

Hi
This is the image. In fact it is the power supply described in the F5 manual.
Thanks

soon i will have for sale a board based on this schematic which is an adapter from balanced to unbalanced and invert the signal for the amplifier input.
Hi Cristi,
Sorry I have not been successful in posting the pictures.
Have you end the sale ?

This is odd. I can't seem to print the TDA892x manual, the printer icon is always greyed out?

No since they are the rush-in current limiters, also limit current on secondary at the same time
choice of voltage
Hallo CNX, I'm interested in 3020 module, and would probably use it with high sens. speakers (97+db/w), and i know i can use it with much lower sens.speakers, so i have 2 questions:
1. Will it be quiet enough
2. what is the best voltage for 3020, is there a benefit in running it with lower voltage, say 30-40v, and is there changes in character of sound, is there a sweet spot voltage for this module?
Thaks😕

I have another go at posting the picture.
With this soft start, can I omit the thermisters in the picture ?
When is the sale ending ?
thanks

as luka already pointed out, if you remove the thermistors, you won't have the current limit function anymore and the current demand for charging the capacitors can be high enough to trip the mains fuses or even to blow the rectifier diodes.

the TA3020 v3b amp has arround 100dB S/N ratio. with very sensitive speakers still can hear a little noise close to the tweeter. the choice for a very silent amp would be a class AB, LM4702 or LME49810 amplifier, you can check on my website. there is a model which has 123 dB S/N ratio.
the optimum voltage would be between 45 and 55V. the output power depend on the supply voltage as well. less than 36V the amplifier will not start, will be locked in udervoltage protection mode, and over 60V will also lock due to overvoltage. also, i don't recommend to use over 60V because the voltage can increase to dangerous values due to pumping.
Lacking mids and highs on TA2022 PCB.
Hi Cristi,
One of my friend has recently purchased a TA2022 power amp from you based on my recommendation. He finds himself not very satisfied with the mids and high, it seems has they are lacking or not present enough in the music, the bass is great but I would like to know if this is the first time you receive this comment regarding your TA2022 PCB.
Please let me know if there is some possible mods to improve this.
Thanks,
Eric

LME49810 Amp
Hallo CNX,
I'm quite interested in your amp based on LME49810, but I wonder how can I put this one into a chassis, there seems to be no screw holes available or suitable points to install it. They must be located on one side, I guess...
Also, is it mono or stereo? Do I need a pair of them to build a stereo amp?
Thanks!
