Great, re: the woofer peak, I tweaked the inductor and then the cap value to visibly affect the wonky frequency area, then set the resistor to squash it under the target curve.

I would be very interested to know what the result was and what the 15W8534 phenomax sounds like?
I have experience with the 21W8555 and like both the bass and midrange. The size of the 15w8534 would be a little better fit for a three-way setup than the 8545k if it sounds similar.
I ask because i realy like this carbon paper membrane for mid (for me only) much better than the sliced Paper. I know the crossover is very demanding.
I dont have personal experience on my own with iluminator.
Iluminator i heard only 2 or 3 times and was nice but not so outstanding that i think it is much better than the classics.
But 12MU was realy, realy nice endeed.
