Looks like a 4 or 4.5 inch BMR up top, not sure about the bass...?
The specs are garbage.... There is no way a 4 inch BMR ( or conventional driver) is 98dB sensitive @1 watt / 1 meter.
This makes me suspect the guy is a snake oil con man.

Please post a link to this driver, thanks.

Did you have the time too look. I think it's pretty rude to write such powerful statements without knowing what is actually in the speakers.
From the spec bit at the top.
"Full-range speaker: Bogen; 12-inch ultralight paper cone; AlNiCo roundmagnet
Tweeter: Siemens 6Ruf lsp28b; 4" ultralight paper cone; AlNiCo magnet from VAC Berlin"

Hi All,
I’ve been meaning to knock up some DolbyAtmos height channel speakers, using some BMR’s I’ve had kicking around for a while now.
I’d like to use two drivers per speaker but to get them close to the ceiling & angled downward, I’d need to arrange the drivers side by side, would it be better to make these a 1.5 way & only have one driver playing the high frequencies?

Last week, I experimented with impregnating for diffusers with a quartz nanopowder based composition. The result is very positive: the sound stage has become wider and deeper. If to compare directly with the speaker without impregnation, then there is less shouting on phonograms with high female vocals, violins and wind instruments.
Do you have or sell plans for these?
Does anyone think the new drivers from Purifi might be a good match for some high quality BMR's?
Their PTT6.5W04-01A has ultra low distortion and huge bass output for its size...

Looks nice, and seems to sim well in a MLTL.
That surround is funky.
They are us $350 each, plus shipping. Might be OK for Europe, but cost prohibitive anywhere else in the world.
Trouble is that most BMRs are about 80dBs, so you will need to pad that woofer if the 90+dBs is true.

I have a pair of the 6.5” drivers in an open baffle set up and find them very nice. Subwoofer for low frequencies under 150Hz
Very interesting to me that you are using them on an OB. Are you running them full range above 150hz ie no tweeters ?
The QTS is given as 0.831 so I thought it worth a go as the alternative application, and only other application I have seen using this driver is a transmission line set up by ‘Curvi Speakers’a novel looking design but to big and complex to emulate.
No tweeter is used, but I’m quite happy with them. On going project when I have the time.
