MUSES02 pricing?

Anyone got experience with Muses in general from audiophonics in France? Little cheaper than mouser at least.
Otherwise profusion has the muses01 pretty cheap and is authorised by njr, don’t know about the 02 though.
I am generally wary of Audiophonics, I have the feeling that nothing is checked or verified with them, maybe you will have other more positive opinions but for me it remains only "Sellers" and nothing else .

Someone else kindly directed me to a possibly better option on aliexpress.

Yes, I did in post #13. I have had good experiences with this seller on other items and would trust them again:

Cheaper ones likely are either fakes or factory rejects. YMMV

Reviews of the Muses02 make me seem like it's not worth the cost because I would need four, and it adds up quickly. I ended up with Burr Brown OPA2604, almost all of which are fakes now, but I did find some new old stock overseas. I like their sub-bass better than TI OPA1612, which I also have.

That chip is fake. You can check by the legs and by the marking on top. Head is bent backwards not rounded to front.

Heres from mouser, you can use to compare with the ones you buy from dubious places.

Placed an order for 2 from your link. Will be back in about 11 days with pics and a review 🙂.

Great. I want to know about the sub-bass performance. I find it lacking in so many op-amps.

I have ordered several things from them (AkLIAM store on AliExpress) in the past few months, including 2 DACs. They are very nice and knowledgeable if you use the AliExpress chat feature to speak with them.

However, many AliExpress sellers including AkLIAM are selling DACs with something they call OPA1612AIDR (blue board) and OPA1612AIDRGR OVII (green board). As far as I know these are not Texas Instruments OPA products. I have tried the OPA1612AIDRGR OVII, and I thought they sounded OK cold, somewhat analog sounding, but not once they heated up. I fabricated some tiny heatsinks for them and will try them again some day but currently use the Burr-Brown OPA2604. I also have genuine TI OPA1612, and I like those too, but they don't have the bass drive of the Burr Brown chips.

Note: I am not associated with them in any way.

I believe these two (highlighted in bold) are just codenames for the same OPA1612 from TI: Search by "OPA1612" (lcsc.com) but packaged in different ways.
