Muses Volume

Hello,

Programming successful, but no reaction from the main board,

I would now like to test the Muses boards individually.

Is this correct Controller board: X3 15V +/- ground only with Muses board. J2 = 2-3

Controller board J2 = 1+2 when using the main board and muses boards.

Greetings Dirk

Hello,
please help me I can't get any sound from my two musses boards.
Tested:
Controller i.o accepts all commands.
Mainboard i.o with controller and musses tested, settings 4 = 000 404, 8 = 000 800 all channels and led`s are switched and show, input signal arrives at the muses boards.
Muses board tested individually, no signal is passed through the muses, controller board setting default on se test.
Muses board J1 to 2+3, controller board voltage via X3 J2 to 2+3.
Muses re-soldered twice.

Provided I still need to solder this up and I am a bit trembling at this thought, its psu is a broad topic indeed, I am trying to narrow possibilities to - best and simplest - effectively power the meldano muses volume controller for my Dual Mono preamp;

I would at least think that separating muses analog psus between channels is not a wrong idea..

And what about the 5Vdd for the muses chips, does it make a lot of sense to separate these? Or these can just be powered together with 5vdc regulator on controller board and be good?

I plan to use also a display and an input switch (with a 7805 onboard regulator..) so need to keep these in consideration too..

good news my two muses controllers balanced with mainboard and standard work, i still have to install them in the new preamplifier.
But I still have a question about the zero cross detection setting. For 2Muses chips I have to set to 2 Windows, is that ok?
Can I set the start volume?
Thank you, regards Dirk

Documentation S2
„When the rotary-encoder button is pressed down continuously for 3 seconds during operation, the
current volume level is stored as starting volume. This is confirmed by a short mute if successful.
Only values corresponding to less than 80% of maximum volume can be saved“

After a long construction period, I have finally finished my Ba-3B with Muses controller.
My old Ba-3 preamplifier with relay volume control literally swallowed up details of the music.
Suddenly you can hear details in a piece of music that you didn't notice before.
The width and depth are also much better, whether this is all down to the Muses control or the fact that my system now plays fully symmetrically I can't say for sure. But I'm very happy with the control.
Thank you Daniel for this great project.
