Muses Volume

I've had too much on to spend any time on this for a few weeks - I have been concentrating on getting things in place for the power amp that the pre-amp will drive - I have some time off work coming up so will hopefully complete the project soon.

Hi folks, trying to troubleshoot a V1 board. I am getting 0V on both outputs. Not shorted, both show ~470R to ground. All the +/-15V and +5V seem correct (using on board reg.). I've checked muses pins once for continuity/shorts and did not see any issues. I'll do that again with less tired eyes, but any troubleshooting tips or things to look for?

Thanks
Dan

Hi - I hooked up the display and the display works. I will need to solder up the IR receiver as I've not done that yet. The encoder steps are odd as it skips around alot and will go down in numbers at times when turning to the right, especially if you turn it fast. Thanks - Dan

Hi 04dgmsilv

So far, so good… 👍🏼

I’m guessing you are using the original GB version of the board

Which display are you using?

and (from memory) some who implemented a display and remote had issues stemming from the power supply… are you using anything other than the on-the-board power supply?

Hey everyone, just a couple basic questions for a beginner here:

1) is there a wiring diagram or any hi-res photos of muses volume integrated with the DCB1 Buffer?

2) Does the volume control require it's own power supply or can it share with the DCB1?

Hi,
if you check this thread, you’ll find some users who build the Muses with DCB1.
If you use the Mainboard a own transformer or psu is necessary.
There are several ways for power supply.
Please let us know your existing psu specs.

Hi Julian,
wich other thread?
I have no experience with that type of encoder.
After a look to the datasheet: the encoder need a 5V DC supply. The Muses v2 supply is 3,3V. In case of using this encoder you have to check if the controller inputs are 5V tolerant!

Hi need help, finally finished the kit, connect it in a simple setup. It works after power on, get sound, however, as I turn the pot clockwise, the volume getting lower, until no sound at all. If I power off then on again, it repeats, get sound until turn the pot. Any step did I miss?
