Hello everyone,

Have a little problem here unfortunately and would appreciate some food for thought.
Have the unbalanced system with motherboard. And the whole thing 2x. Unfortunately, the remote control does not do what it should, actually it does nothing at all. The processor runs and flashes as it should. Only on inputs of the remote
It does not react. Strangely enough on both boards the same problem. Have already tried several remote controls. I have also replaced the sensor (TSPO 4838). Voltages are present. The strange thing is that the signal line is "almost" on ground. Am unfortunately with the digital not quite so fit. Maybe you have a tip for me.
Thanks greetings Markus

The signal line should toggle in case of pressing a remote control key.
Please check the connection between controller pin and ir receiver.

Daniel

Replaced a bad microcontroller chip and both sets are now accepting remote commands and operating correctly. Still not switching, so I did some additional probing and discovered voltages I didn't see as correct. Not sure why it didn't come to me the first time I saw them, but today something told me to check some more. So I desoldered the driver chips to a mess beneath! Embarrassing n00b SMD soldering job using airgun and too much paste!

After fixing that little disaster, all is working well. Many thanks to you, Daniel, for accommodating me! My apologies for asking you to search the Earth for STMs! You're the best!

Hi everyone,

I just completed the V1 model, fire up fine, vol encoder can turn up and down the display counter.
However, when I had it connected to the system, I hear only distorted music at a constant level, even when the encoder is turned either way.

I didn't see any solder bridging on the muse chip, any idea where can I go from here?

Thanks

Thanks, great

that’s the main question …
The reason I asked about substitutes -

It came out three years ago, and just a couple of weeks ago Chris wrote -
“Mostly a problem I created for myself, but definitely glad Daniel was there to help out with parts made from unobtainium

Has anyone else - in recent times - tried to source some of parts and had a hassle, or have relevant experience?

Another question, from where I saw came across the Muse really nicely implemented ~ a year ago, the way I want to follow - to tick all the key boxes, with this. when using a remote - very useful - and professional looking display

https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/search.php?searchid=24746755
… when he said “optional” he sort of implied got the display from you. (?) That’s a big part of the appeal - Is it still available?
… If not from you, can anyone say from where, or something similar?

Thanks guys

Thank you, I could be interested. I’d have to look into how long it might take me, personally. Especially because I’ve got several other projects in hi-fi and other things going

MLE,
What sort of money are you thinking of?

Meldano,
What can you say about the display, linked in post #595
Are you familiar with that - or similar?
