Or, at the cost of a few volts, this one 158T Hammond Manufacturing | Mouser.
It has higher inductance and a bit of resistance that actually may help to damp it. It is cheaper and lighter, and good for 300mA.

I am using 159ZJ in similar application as per advise from John Swenson.
The 158T is not enough for two boards. For double mono it is fine.
I did not tell you before but in praxis the Paradise R3 draws over 200mA per channel despite the attempts that have being made here to calculate the current draw mathematically.

That could be '159ZA 300mH 1A 6.0ohm 500 2.50 C14H'. At the cost of mH's these go for low-resistance values, and high currents. This is needed if you do not have 'volts' to spare (so to say) or have a high current need. But if you do a new design, for low currents, you can select a transformer with a few volts more to spare, and use one with more mH's and a higher resistance, both will help make a better filter. I actualy like the higher resistance, for low current small signal circuits.

I will use Mundorf elcaps though. I know they sound good and they are not much more expensive then the F&T. You can use any good elcap that you want though.

I have this trafo 230v to 230v 1200va. Will it make any difference to run the mains thru that one, regarding rf.?
Depends on the transformer.
A normal transformer has reasonable capacitive coupling between primary and secondary windings, which is a pleasant path for high frequencies.
The bigger the transformer, the higher the capacitance, the bigger the problem.
There are transformers with a static shield, which will help with this.

It was not made for hifi, it was used for isolated control voltage in a big crane🙂 So its probably not so good except for damping of spikes.
Maybe one time i will make actual measurements on transformers to find out how wide band different makes are.

With isolated net, you have zero potential to ground. Is it wrong to asume that it aplies to rf and other polutions in the supply too?
