2000 EUR with 2x18" - have you tested it? Can use standard woofers when type their TS in software.
I made a new design with the Enviee driver that was lately much improved in the treble.
Tired of the problems that open baffles bring ( they have to be very big to have enough output in the lower reaches, there develops a notch in the fundamental tone area, hard to place in relation to the back wall ) i developed the " Acoustic Resistance Frame ".
More soon.

No, i did not test it but it looks very good on paper. I find the response to pulses very clean.
That kind of things should work when only one driver is tracked provided that the other drivers are the same and in the same volume.
No, no rather multiple small closed boxes. In Poland no one bought but it can be borrowed - just pay for shipping 100 EUR.
For my horns multiple active servo sub is a great thing. BTW: Sonido.hu will release elliptic fullranges soon.

The main driver is an Enviee 2013.
I will show you a link.
I found that resonances on the baffle get down by 20dB with the tennis balls.
This is a bit counter intuitive but with hard coupling ( spikes ) the resonances are not evacuated but are bounced back from the floor into the baffle and go again to the floor and come back again, at infinitum.
I would not do that with a woofer but over 100Hz it works great.

I do a slight EQ with 3 parts to tame the 3kHz range.
You see this components hanging out at the back.
That way i get a response of plus-minus 2dB from 150Hz to over 20kHz.
Sensitivity is 95dB with over 8 Ohm impedance-
The total speaker is phase coherent and has a near ideal step and impulse response.
A 1kHz square is no problem.

Wow how sweet are those brown tiny little boxes hahaa 😀
How have you managed to make those tenis balls stable? 🙂
Hey isn't that the worst place for listening, the chairs so near to the wall?!

This are mini Kisos. The cabinets are made by Takamine, the famous guitar maker.
I just put the tennis ball under and it is stable. funny, isn´s it ?
Sitting on the back wall has a lot of advantages.
One is that you sit in the pressure zone and you have much less trouble with standing waves in the fundamental tone area.
Imaging is great too because of the Haas effect. I hear nothing from the back, unless it is something like a Q sound recording. Roger Waters " Amused to Death" is an example where i hear a carriage rolling in my back from left to right.
i have done a joint AES paper about that in 2000.

Here is another done done by a researcher that worked for me at Audio Physic.

The experiments where done in a dark room so the test persions had not much of an idea about the setup.

Here is a popular version in plain english done by Allen Perkins :
