As an aside, my editor was choking on 4 non-ascii characters so I commented them out, seemingly to no effect. Caveat: I'm no php expert and my experience comes from several years ago therefore is likely very outdated.

So desire is to have Moode operate similar to car head unit after turning on ignition i.e, fast start up, resume last state etc?
-Tim
Absolutely. Moode's not too bad for the job at this point. Music starts playing at almost exactly 50 seconds. Autoplay takes me to the last track. I wanted the ashuffle thing to work because that's my preferred listening mode over the whole db. Although I'm trying to work out a way to "play the album/artist" of the current track.
The car environment also drives (pun intended) the need for a simple UI hence the previous suggestion. I'm still looking at maybe one of the PHP clients that I can make really simple (ie no album art) and run in parallel to Moode to access MPD. I tried ympd but the code is more complicated than I want to tackle ATM, it does however run in parallel to Moode nicely.
A follow up: ashuffle does work if you start it manually from a ssh session, so it's possibly something to do with startup sequence. Granted, Moode does not realize it's running so the UI still indicates "true random" off.

Still get white noise, but atleast with something in the background now.
Attached the boot/config.txt via a screendump of putty.
Suggestions?
Any difference if you swap the order of the dtoverlay lines!?
I just upgraded from Rune to Moode. I am running v2.6. Everything works fine on audio front.
I'm having trouble viewing local album art in MPD.
I placed folder.jpg in the same folder where my music is.
When I'm accessing via Web browser, cover art appears. But it's not working with MPD unfortunately.
What am I missing?
Note: Album art/cover art works in MPD with Rune.
I have uploaded one album (with two songs) in google drive. Here is the link:

I am attaching few screenshots as well. Here is the link for the screenshots:

Could you please guide me through this?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I just made the swap.
I'm not able to test it for an hour or two though as the fiance is loosing patience with me as we're going to look at baby clothes. Best not to antagonize a pregnant woman too much 😉

Hi,
Looks you are using mpdroid so cover path is mpdmusic/

Hi Rob,
When u say "re-catalogues" are u referring to the DLNA server?
-Tim
Yes - on the Roberts radio the track list grew slowly on a restart until they were all there.
Thanks again.
Rob
What is the file used by Moode to start the various Daemons, I am experimenting running Asset UPNP server locally and would like it to start after everything else.
Tried googling but found nothing that made sense to this Winows guy.
I am running TR7 since last night and I had some issues with NFS that I have not had before.
I have had the same read only share exported from my freenas box since Moode 2.5 but yesterday while mounting the share I was getting an invalid options error. The only way I could get it to mount was by clearing the options box.
Has there been a change in the NFS mounts?

Hi Rob,
I just tested w/TR7 and can't repro. I turned on DLNA server, waited until it indexed 3571 track collection then rebooted. No reindexing occurred after reboot. This is the way it should behave.
In earlier Moode version, 2.4 as I recall, the miniDLNA database was located on tmpfs and would not persist across reboots and thus a reindex would occur.

Hi,
Good catch!
There is a bug in JS causing mount options not to be set for NFS. Instead the SMB/CIFS options are used thus the "invalid options" error. This may be what is causing many of the NFS mount issues.
Bug is fixed for 2.6 final release.
Wrt startup:
1) PHP5-fpm and NGINX are started via systemd
2) /etc/rc.local is run by systemd. This file starts disks-glue, watchdog, then worker
3) worker.php contains Moode startup sequencing including start for MPD and all other components of the app
Asset UPnP apt-get install should create a systemd unit. Verify this by cmd below.
sudo systemctl status <assetupnp or whatever its called>
To configure it to start at boot use cmd below.
sudo systemctl enable <assetupnp or whatever its called>

Thanks for the reply, Asset is not installed from Apt-Get (its not free ware) so none of the above works, also to complicate matters I am messing with a beta, I will keep looking and ask on the Dbpoweramp forum.

Changed few album art folders to 'mpdmusic'. In MPD, I've changed my path to music to 'mpdmusic'. Updated MPD db from moode audio web interface. Nothing works.Do you recommend I should change the album art folder from 'coverart' to 'mpdmusic'?

Still not able to get locally stored cover art in MPD.
If I'm not able to fix this cover art issue with moode, I'm afraid I have to go back to rune again.

Hi all,
is there a possibility to add a whole album to the playlist from the library view? I'm only able to add track after track....
bye,
Friedemann

Yes: Select the album from the library page, then click on the album art square (or Moode symbol if art is missing). You will then see a menu which lets you add and play the album.
