Tim, there is now a 4.9.80 which is meant to fix the kernel bug that was causing my and at least one other person on this forum Rpi3 to crash on boot. Can you add the hash for 4.9.80 instead of 4.9.79 which contained the bug.
Hi,
Sure I can do that. I'll just need to do a bit of testing with it tomorrow 🙂

Unable to use the graphic equalizer. Doesn't seem to be an option to turn on, off is only option.
Hi,
Symptom suggests one of the other DSP features is on. Only one of Crossfeed, Parametric EQ or Graphic EQ can be on.

hi Tim and all,
on the BROWSE screen, there is no more line separator between artists(folders)
is it on purpose?
checked with FF and Chrome
Hiro
Hi,
There aren't any line separators anywhere in NewUI 🙂

trying to expand the root partition.
Clicking EXPAND doesn't trigger anything.
am using 32G uSD with 3G occupied.
any suggestion?
Hi,
You should see the confirmation popup after clicking Expand. After clicking Confirm, the message below should appear and then the system will automatically reboot.

curious how long it takes to install it?...running for 4 hours still
Installed....curious it is not connecting to my chord dave... any driver i need to install for moode?
Have finally upgraded my main RPi (Pi 3b) to 4.0. Only broke the process once, due to seriously dumb mistake, aka switching off lights for the evening that had the Pi power supply on same power strip. Doh!
Everything looks and runs great, with a few issues. I'm liking an apparent improvement of response over all, seems snappier now. I also had some crackle and pops in my set up, started w 3.84 and didn't quite go away in 4.0 b12, seems very solid now.
So, on to the few issues...
1. I occasionally lose some display features, the time ring will not be there, or sometimes the entire playlist isn't visible in playlist page. Also, lately have been seeing most or all of these appearing properly, but no pic for the radio station playing. My playlist load so far has only consisted of radio stations. I've fiddled with various things, reloading, going to other pages and returning... sometime it comes back, sometimes not. Not sure of a single fix yet.
2. More a feature change opinion than a problem, I'm finding the volume control a bit of an issue in that I miss the bump up/down buttons, which were handy for fine adjustments without accidental large motions. And I like the new slider bar, but I don't like the "no change till you let go and drop it" feature. Very difficult to judge how much change you made, especially on a small phone screen. Is the "drag around the circular volume indicator" no longer available? That used to be a smooth transition, with the occasional user issue of hitting the wrong side and blasting a high volume.
Most of the things in 1 have been seen on Firefox on my Android phone, otherwise I'm on Firefox on Win 10. I have seen 1 problems on the phone, and seen normal operation on the Win 10 browser.
Hope that helps...
Hi,
I agree about the usefulness of the volume bump up/dn buttons. Maybe adding them back in under the slider would work.

Hi Tim, as a compromise to the data nerds among us, me being one, could the "System Information" page be made directly accessible from the "Moode" menu rather than having to go to it via a configuration page. This should avoid about 4 clicks to find the cpu temperature.
If the cpu temperature could be moved up a bit on the page so it is visible on the rpi display without scrolling that would also be good from my perspective.
I also noticed the "Customise" option disappears form the "Moode" menu after the "Configuration" option is clicked. I assume this is intentional but it is not intuitive that to get it back, you need to click on one of the buttons on the bottom of the display to reset the menus.
Hi Tim, just a friendly bump of the idea of having the System Information page accessible from the Moode menu without having to go to a Config page.
Now some useful statistics are there I use it several times a day. In comparison I use Customize once on setup and never touch it again.
but there are also no dots ...
Hi Tim,
ok ... no lines anymore, but there are also no dots on the right side of "Browse"-tab. Not possible to call "Add", "Play" or "Clear/Play" anymore ???
At the moment I only can play music from "Library"-tab (Firefox & Chrome). In Safari (iPad) I see only "white pages" on all tabs, except "Configure"screens. MMI customize setting is all standard.
Not good ...

Just click the icons on the far Left and the popup menu will appear.
Very odd about Safari and iPad because I develop and test moOde on Safari, Mac, iPad and iPhone.

All OK, thanks Tim

Hi,
The output looks ok except for a bug in moode logging that only lists the first usb drive. Both drives were auto-mounted to /media. If only one of the drives shows up in MPD database then it could be a permissions issue.
Examine MPD log for errors.
