Mmini regulator (sample offering)

Dear Coffin,

First I want to thank you for the Mini Regulator sample PCB's.
I had been looking for awhile to find a dual high voltage regulator circuit and when I found your thread, all the hopes I had about that circuit came true.

I finally found the time to gather the parts and assemble the circuits.
I must say I am really impressed by the results. I installed them in the voltage amplification section of my amplifier and all the little unwanted buzzes and noises vanished. The stereophonic image is much more stable than before. I use to have a gap in the middle of my stereophonic image and now it is gone. I can follow movements from one side to the other without losing part of the performance anymore. I can now hear on certain recordings I thought I knew, instruments I did not know were there. Another unexpected effect of the circuit is that when I power on my amplifier there is no more noise or cone movement as I use to have. Sweet!

There are a couple things I need to ask about the circuit.
I have a difference of a couple volts between the posiitve and negative outputs. What parts do I need to adjust to have the same voltage on both sides?
I am unable to find for C7 a suitable 22 pF poly capacitor.
Is that value critical?

I looked more closely on your Mini Regulator website and found out that the positive version uses an AD780 I guess as a reference.
Can this circuit be used on the dual version?
Is it much better?
I see that C7 is now a 100 pF.
Care to explain?

Once again I want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to discover that sweet circuit of yours. It was very nice of you.

Best Regards,

Michel

Hi
Please tell me your regulated voltage.
How many is the voltage difference?

You can use ceramic cap / MLCC caps for C7/C17.

I think AD780 cannot be used on high voltage regulation.
Maybe you can try LM329.

cheers

Hi Coffin,
do you still have samples or can I buy it?
I really want to try it.
I need two version, the 5V (less than 1A) and 9V (1A). One for my onboard clock on my CDP and the others is for my external D/A.

Do you have any idea how to get such PCB around Asia (Taiwan/China/Hongkong probably?). I'm located at Indonesia, so Asian seller should cost me less in shipping cost.

Thanks.

Hi coffin:

Thank you for Ur generous giving on PCBs. I want to know Ur dual regulator whether can vary the voltage with good linearity dual tracking. I need a split supply can vary from 1 to 24 volts with 3 amp. output. If it does meet my requirement, please reserve one for me. thanks

PS: how can I pay for postage, please instruct:

WE CONSIDER USEFUL THINGS

Hi
The 2010 comes the new sample! The GOLD Reference Regulator!

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

The info of this ultimate reg is here:
GOLD Reference Mini Regulator

each member from DIYAUDIO can ask for one sample PCB(dual or positive). Only 20pcs of samples for each reg.

Applyer only pays the registered airmail shipping fee 3.00USD.

I'll send the PCBs together before the end of Febuary.

My email address: ruten.coffin1967@gmail.com

cheers
