I´ve seen the different pinning. The BD139/140 are rated at 1.5A or?Notice that BD139/140 have different pinning.I have some D44H11 and D45H11 if you want to test.
Yes I could try the D44H11 and D45H11,what´s the price?🙂
Hi
the power dissipation of Q3/Q4 and Q13/Q14 should be about :
Supply voltage * (1.8V-0.6V)/R6
so the Power in this case will be 70V * 16mA = 1120mW
maybe MPSW42/92 is affordable too.
cheers

The problem is that the company where I buy transistors (Elfa)dont have the MPSW42/92 they have BC639/640 they are rated at 1 amp...
I am not so god at this transistor changing....Next step is the BD139/140 1.5 amp12.5w to big or?

Ok,2SB649 can handle 1.5A so can BD139/140 can I use them instead?Please change Q3/Q4 to 2SB649, Q13/Q14 to 2SD669.
MPSA42 and 92 I have at home but they are to weak?
As Q1/Q11 i use MJL21193/94 they should be enough.Am I right?

Hi
MPSW42/92 is a little bit risky.....
sorry

Dear Coffin,
Are the sample PCBs still available ?
I am rebuilding an Electrocompaniet Ampliwire II and it needs a regulated voltage of ±39 V in the drive section. I have a voltage of around ±47 V available after the filtering capacitors. Is the differential voltage high enough for the Mini Regulator ? The current requirement is around 100 mA.
Regards,

HI
The sample are still available.
If you use dual mini reg, please change R7 & R17 to 9K/0.5W .
cheers

Hi Coffin,
I am interested in two single boards. Please let me know how much I have to pay for shipping?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Coffin,
I got the boards. They look great. Thanks a lot.
Is the BOM ( http://circulator.bravehost.com/minireg.htm) up to date or something has been changed?
Also, I noticed there is a new design called the Evolution 2004 regulator http://circulator.bravehost.com/EVOLUTION_reg.htm
Are you offering free samples for this design as well?
Regards

The "evolution" looks nice and from what I can see your mate Coffin, has considered more where currents flow
I had small opinions about that regarding the two other boards.
The Evolution is a nice overkill, my taste

Hi,
The BOM of minireg is up to date.
Or you can post about your specific need.
We have limited Evolution Free sample. NOT for SALE.
You can email me for that sample.
cheers

Hi Coffin,
I've received the boards, thank you. They are of a high quality and I am very impressed. I haven't had chance to assemble them yet but I'll post further thoughts once I've had chance to measure their performance.

Jon

Hi, Coffin, do you have a picture of the whole Evolution board? From the small detail at your website it sure looks nice.

Interesting and original idea -- stacking 2 additional power supplies to power the op amps. Has this been done before?
Hi PA,
Actually I don't have a clearer pic for the Evo Reg.
thanks for the comment, all of you.🙂
