What gs voltage for q4 as for now?
3.47V
+ rail when cold 16.8V 🙁
Sorry, no time for desoldering Q4. Earliest in abt 9days. Travel...

Its a normal figure for that MOSFET in this circuit nonetheless. I would substitute q2,q3,q6 for starters. One by one or all together. (Designations as per page 120 schematics).

Yes, I allready did that... Replacement of Q4 is in the pipe when I return.

Is there a reason why 2sk170 Q6 gate is connected to it's drain instead of it's source?
It is not limiting current on my store's Mezmerize boards...

We have covered that lots of times. Its there to tweak the result with some on purpose imbalance. You can restore to normal by manipulating its leads and decide what you prefer.
Thanks Salas!
I've read about the tweak, but didn't know this is it. I will search for more info.

Listen to stock connection enough first and then do the "leg trick" so to be sure you got the comparison result right, because its a subtle thing.
*Note it applies to positive regulator Q6 only, the negative polarity Q6 is connected in orthodox fashion.
I have started up to build 3 x Mezmerize into one cabinet. The idea is is to replace my Copland CVA306 tubes preamplifier (6 channels) in my active setup.
1. How big transformer (VA) will I need to supply 3 Mezmerize?
2. I want to place the transformer in a separate box. Would it be ok to bring
AC voltage from this sparate box to the 3 x Mezmerize cabinet, or should I build a complete DC power supply in my powebox and bypass the rectifier diodes on the Mezmerize PCB?

1. 80VA
2. You may bring the secondary AC cabling over if it will not mess with other gear and/or signal cabling along the way by its emanating 50Hz field, Mez itself would not mind.
Else, do separate DC its more elegant & bypass the bridges diodes, but keep the local 2200uF filters on the Mez boards.

Hey there... I have a problem with my DCB1 build. I hook it up on a 2x15V transformer. When powering up all LED Arrays and the indicator for the 12V Regulator lighten up.
Measurements on the Rails are -10,2V and 10,85V. Still waiting for better matching LEDs but from my understanding, this should not influence the buffer section of the DCB.
The problem is the output relay not working. I can absolutely not measure any offset. While the input relay is clicking, the output does not give any sound at all. Only if I shorten the middle pin on the BC517 Darlington.
Any suggestions for troubleshooting?
Regards,
Fabian

Any other value possible? Don't have 100pF at home currently, lowest starting at 330pF X7R Caps ;-)
