Actually the Rowemeister uber clamp is infact equivelent to 30 Russ Andrews Superclamp Ultras (£50 each) + some added extra filtering. LOL

Are you implying that RA products may be a little overpriced ??
Andy
PS It looks very neat - are you going to reveal the diagram etc. ?

Well the "superclamp" is just two parts, lol.
I'd not like to be a voltage spike in Rowey's house! 😱
Big caps across the mains clearly work. I'm going to rehash and upgrade my mains filter box soon. Will post results on here.

I fully support all RA products as they all work, but my own company do the equiv noise plug to the silencer and its 1/2 the price. Also our surge plug is 1/2 price of his LOL.
We make very little on these due to the electronic components , plug case , stickers and labour. So I can see why he charges what he does.

Your neighbours are probably thinking "hmm, this radio sounds better than it used to..."
😉
that's seems a bit like "I have never seen mice in MY house" but left trying to explain the droppings on the kitchen floor.rowemeister said:

Mice chewed into one of our cupboards and they poo all over the place, hehe. Dirty little beggars.
Hi,
we never see the spikes, but lot's of us complain about the garbage we unintentionally hear coming out of our speakers (dictionary won't let me use more appropriate/descriptive words).
So, I come back to:- have we really chased them next door?

I have a mains monitor and believe me when I say there are spikes. Some of them are over 600V.
Buy yourself a 600V GAS arrestor and wire it across L-N (make sure you have a breaker) and leave it on. If the breaker trips you have had a spike of 600V+.
There are even more spikes around the 350V mark. These spikes saturate transformers stopping them working correctly and thus effecting the secondary supply into your equipment.

Hi Rowe,
You don't need to convince me, I believe you.
Just appealing for details of your solution.
You said "own company".
Do you use trading post?

Hi there,
So in diag mods the step 0 shows nothing, everythings power up ok.
Then press next and step 1 is on : laser goes up & down non stop and laser is on. Step 2 the disc spins OK...
But when hit play error 02. Any clue of what can I do?
Brent how much will you charge me for fixing it? I'll loose my CD53 if not...

Here I am the stupid guy of the thread... yes I think this time the word is the right one:
I've got one less screw when I colsed it back last time... the bad idea was to screw a screw... not in a fixing hole but in the adjustable resistor for focus... ya ya you can laugh at me I deserve it...
A question, if I need to put back my dc blocking caps, BG will help not loosing too much bass here like OEM ones? (stop laughing and answer!!!)

The laser is not focussing. Probably requires replacing.

OK Cheers Brent.
I'd be very grateful if anyone can please tell me the Model Numbers written on the back of the various 240v 63SE, 67SE, 6000SE? Marantz asked for the full number. e.g.
This current example from Ebay UK for a 63SE shows 80CD63/15B 240v ~ 50Hz.

10mm^2 wire from star earth to post, excessive maybe
I had to isolate the post from the chassis with plastic salvaged from packaging, so as to not mess up my carefully considered grounding scheme!
Two nights ago I had a nightmare session looking for the shorts between audio ground and safety earth in my preamp. One more problem sorted at least!
This Dire Straits, Live at the BBC 1978 sounds nice!
night 🙂
