But they try to sell us some plastic here, pretend it's cheese, Gouda, Edam and such wich I guess could make nice caps as soon as you put two metal rods in =)
Dunno, maybe Gouda is a good dielektricum? At least it's not that smelly as the French 😀

The Brits and the Dutch and the few Frenchies here should have a diy rave somewhere...like in the middle of the Channel? Now how the hell do I post a hi-rez photo???
Yeah, good idea! I vote for Heerhugowaard, as it is just between the UK and France 😀

Take heart M. "we" must be doing something right because they keep coming for more! When I feel couragious, I'll take the 67 apart and take some shots.
Yes a nice hard cheese with say a good pear...drool. Back to serious matters: I've been meaning to ask about feet for some time. Seriously! namely there seems to be a consensus that wooden cones are the best for our players. I've seen oak ones for sale and some more exotic types on e-bay, from thailand I think. Any thoughts or experience or good tips please. At present I have just some stick-on felt pads. Not very gracious but I was told once the stock feet are crap and I believe just about everything I'm told!
All cheese is nice as long as it's a quality one. I do like a good old strong English mature chedder as it goes with most chutneys and fruit. I do love French cheese too, but the other week I had a superb Gouda, it had a butterscotch hint to its flavour.

I much prefer Oak cone feet. I believe in the light yet hard material way of doing things. I find the timing improves, bass tightens and treble becomes more focused.

Matured gouda can be delicious! And I'm in the wooden cone feet (x3) camp, does wonders for the sound every time I try it.
Russ Andrews cones are fine but Ebay has MUCH cheaper and equally effective ones made from other hardwoods. They come from Far Eastern sellers.
