Quick 0-90deg from midrange with and without phaseplug.
It really needs something, quite easy too cause midrange driver has M6 thread and i have machined adapter back in days.
Without plug midrange driver kind of stares at you
I collect data with REW and simulate that with vituixcad.
Some day i have to go measure outside , indoor varies so much

After 5 months of waiting second wavequide is here.
I have b&c de25 drivers for these but they seems to be 105db sensitivity, which my case could be low as possible.
Test Bench: Peerless by Tymphany DFM-2544R00-08 Compression Driver | audioXpress
So i have think about these tymphanies. Measurements are way off from factory sheet, i dont know what Vance was doing, but aint his first ever driver measurement so we have to believe it, dont we?
so 92db above 10k. If thats true my amp hiss cannot be heard anymore. phase curve is quite flat so serial resistor is easy to use.
Im 100% into plastic diaphragm, but i´ll give titanium just one more chance

Yeah DE250 is successor of DE25. Test what i´ve seen from DE250 aint that good, maybe it was faulty unit dont know. But DE25 has been good for use what i had, LR4 crossed 5.8k and sensitivity match with midrange. H3 starts to rise under 3k.
But i can get DE25 work in these big jbl plastics, 2k crossing aint problem.
EQ´d 12" run out of steam before anything else.
What do ErnieM think about Vances measurement from 2544, was it fridays last job to do and it´s somehow gone wrong

That test looks a bit rougher than what I've seen.
My pair on the 18Sound XT120 horns take some eq to get flat but not any worse than any other driver/horn combo I've tried. Overall response is very smooth after gentle correction.
Also sounds great on the Seos 12. Not sure how it'll do below 2khz. Probably fine if you don't need big spl.

At the moment i have teac nt-503 front of amps, it is analog out. amp gains are rather small so usuallu volumes are -18db on movies.
But i´ve been thinking cause these amps eat digital, one less DA-AD conversion, there are DAC´s which attenuate AES out but...
what can i do is attenuate input level which affects easily both speakers at once or keep input to zero and attenuate processor outputs on by one (really unwieldly).
So does anyone know cheap DA converter which has optical in, usb in and AES out?
Could be fun test to see if there´s difference
140NCD
gonna get these but not until october-november.
There´s no european distribution for these.
First impression from DE25 inside 2374 is i could go with them, but they are hooked on funktion ones and they are on "new owner" waiting for listening experience.
is he gonna take them i dont know.
My hi-fi hobby seems to associated with long waitings what ever i do

Next year is the year of the Final😀. This year ends too soon also for me.
Is there any reason why you didn't consider FaitalPro HF10AK?
Not really, must be great driver. maybe too similar to DE25. same 44mm coil.
Id rather try bms 4524 which has 1" coil. redcatt goes between those, 35mm
Hmm... Interesting.
You are the second person who recommend bms 4524 instead highly regarded HF10AK.
I'm trying to simplified my system and make it more compact. I want to replace jbl WG 3730/2384 horn with the 2435HPL (beryllium) and ST Fane above it, to JBL 5024540 and 1" CD.
What horn can you recommend for bms 4524? Would be a JBL 338800-001 a great match?

I like these jbl 3730 waveguides, size is just about right

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
looks this at the moment. Now changing/adding drivers on front are really hard.
Last weekend i listened some genelecs. W371+8351B
W371 is quite good.
